Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

I have been putting off doing my daughter's NICU album because I want to find a cohesive way to cover all of the ups and downs that were involved in her stay

My very first scrapbook project was an album documenting our trip to Hawaii in 2004. I only completed 5 LO's before I moved onto other SB related projects. Now, I totally don't want to go back and finish the Hawaii album, 'cuz I don't like those first pages I did! I feel like I'd have to re-do them before I could add on more pages.
Thanks for all the inspiration, Ali !

So many to discuss...I can't seem to finish my wedding album even though I have all of the materials and pictures just sitting there waiting to be slapped together. I don't know why! I also haven't begun my daughters' baby books - the blank pages seem to have a paralyzing effect on me.

Hi Ali,
Although I am not a procrastinator by nature - I am usually on top of my scrapbooking/journaling/prjects, I never completed a mini-book about my 2nd pregnancy. For some reason (maybe child #1), I just keep putting it off. I have the pictures, thoughts and journaling to go into it - now it just getting the motivation to finish it. I would love these mini-books to help me on my way.

Seriously...what haven't I been putting off? Completing my 4th of July acrylic album (I got stuck "overthinking" how to put it together)...My craftroom is a mess and needs to be organized. I was hoping to put together a wedding album for a friend, take pictures at the reception and have it all put together for the gift opening. It's next weekend ( I run on adrenaline...it still could happen!)
The list goes on and on...
Thanks for posting your album pics...I'm going to go do that 4th of July album right now! And thanks for the giveaway opportunity!

I've been putting off doing something with the photos from a trip to Hawaii with my then teenage daughter in 1993. The photos are not the best quality and were printed in 3.5 x 5 size. I have no idea where the negatives are, so really just have these to work with. I'm considering doing a photo album scrapbook like Stacy Julian uses, but haven't been inspired to start it yet.

My biggest procrastination would have to be the wedding album. I have a 19 year old box of snapshots (our photographer messed up BIG time...thank goodness we have a lot of photobug friends!) just sitting there.
Then of course I got the bright idea to make an album for my niece...she's only been married for three years! Sigh...
It's just such a daunting project. Looks like a great idea for a class or book...

well it is amazing the number of people who find your blog when you have something to give way! A huge fan base for a generous soul!
I still haven't done an album about Madison's days in the NICU after she was born 11 years ago!
