Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

Unfortunately, I have been putting off an album about our 2 month cross country trip. It was a wonderful trip for our family but there is just so much I have yet to sit down and figure out how I want to capture it in a scrapbook.

Wow, love those albums....all of 'em. Let's see, what am I putting off----well, to be truthful I am putting everything off because I haven't printed pictures--I waffle between local photo ritx camera photos, have tried Walgreen's twice and didn't think the quality was there, my home Canon is broken and I CAN'T definitely decide whether to buy an Epson 1900 or not. LOVE to hear opin's on that matter. Thanks for doing what you do, Ali! Susan aka louella333@yahoo.com

I've been putting off documenting our remodel. There was so much to it, I'm having a hard time figuring out where to start!

Good heavens, lately I've been putting them all off. I feel like my mojo has been missing but I'm MAKING myself create a little something everyday in an effort to find it. I would say that currently, I'm putting off finishing my "box of summer" which is a box with several mini albums that cover summer: vacation, family reunion, birthdays, etc.

"One Day" ... Thinking that tomorrow will always come, I have been putting off making a mini album of my 2 year old daughter's "One Day". With the death of my 3 year old dautchsund, Stringbean, three days ago, you never do know if tomorrow will come! Thanks for the reminder of what album needs to be done now!
I love the albums you have created for the one day (and of course, all of your work)! What a great example!
Congratulations on your little miracle!

Love these! I've only made one clear album, and I alternated clear pages with cardstock pages. I like how you just used acylic pages in this.
I've been putting off my heritage album forever. . . I think because I want it to be "perfect." Same thing with my wedding album. I'm thinking for the latter, I just need to pick a format and go for it.

I pretty much put off all my projects!! I've had a little time off of school, and it just seems overwhelming, so I end up watching TV or cleaning my house!! I hope to do better!

Totally in denial of editing my digital photos. It is much quicker and simpler just to print my straight out of camera shots. Inevitably I go back and scold myself for it after I complete my layouts!
I wish I knew why I did that. Just lazy I guess.

I've been putting off the baby album for my older daughter. My daughters are both 6, but the younger one was adopted from China at age 3-1/2. So I haven't done the baby album or the adoption/life story album yet--I want to tread carefully around the fact that we have no pictures of my younger daughter when she was a baby...I want both girls to feel how special and loved they both are!

Hi Ali,
I have been putting off an album about my daughter's illness. I REALLY "NEED" to do it for the pure therapy behind it all, but I'm still too weepy about the whole deal. Heck, I can hardly look at the photographs I took through it all. Thank goodness for Auto Focus on my camera as I took many pics through my tears! I know though that when I complete it, my daughter will cherish it.
Thanks for the giveaway opp!

I've been putting off a new "Puzzle Piece" Autism album for my son, Evan. I've made 2 so far, at different stages of his life. I have made them at his learning "plateaus" in the past, but he hasn't had one in so long.He just keeps learning stuff on a constant basis. I use real children's floor puzzles that I find in the thrift stores. Maybe I'll make this one about the constant change of him instead of dealing with Autism. hmmmm.

Great question!
I have started, but not finished a huge heritage album. I think my problem is making it too big: All my ancestors photos + family tree + stuff from my parents wedding. Maybe what I need to do is break it down to three smaller projects.
Thanks for the contest!
