Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

I have been putting off my "2006" year album. It was a year that was filled with so much emotion that I don't know where or how to start it. My husband was deployed that year so he was not in any of our pictures, I had my third son without him there, and I struggle with documenting what our life was without him. Thank God he returned safly.
I know this album would be a good way to show him all that happen while he was gone.

I have been putting off my second daughter's baby album. And now working full time has left me with even less time to scrapbook-except at night when I should be sleeping!!!!!
These albums look like great fun to work with!!

i've been putting off quite a few projects... mostly b/c i'm 7 months pregnant and getting ready for a craft show and i'm PRAYING i don't go into early labor like i did with my 14-month old son! but here's a brief list of my current "to do" mini albums that just aren't getting done: davey's 1st birthday (which i plan to do in a clear album with scenic route's surprise line); our june trip to pa/nyc (including the central park zoo); my pregnancy album; and many, many more! i'm also trying hard to work on a pre-made baby album for this little girl growing inside of me. i'm making SLOW progress on it (b/c most of my time is devoted to making items for the craft show)! thanks for this opportunity, even though there's no way i'll win! :)

The really big project I have put off is finishing up my Library of Memories stuff. I've taken the class two years in a row but have also been in grad school at the same time. I'm now 3 months into my internship so nothing is happening right now but as soon as graduation hits, I'm hoping to get back into all those fun projects!

I've been putting off my son's 1st and 2nd year albums (he is now 3). I think I stopped at 3 months...I have a journal for each month, I just need to look for the photos that go with them. I think I've been putting it off mainly because my son has been hitting a lot of milestones within this past year, some milestones that he has missed during his first 18 months...I just feel the urgency to document them now because it is so fresh in my mind and...the poignancy of the milestone.
Thanks for the giveaway Ali; You're the best!!!!

I've had to put off all my personal projects. I'm doing a craft show the first of November and have been focusing all of my time to handmade cards and other paper crafted items for that. This has been ongoing for over a month now and I'm having real withdrawl. If I were lucky enough to win one of these albums, I think I'd have to make an exception, dying to try one. Love the one you did Ali!

I have been putting off an album I started about my Mom's high school and college experiences. I love her stories and friends and have gotten rather absorbed into her life (I even went to her 50th high school reunion with her. But I can't seem to get back into it since I stopped working on the album more than a year ago.

I have put off many albums, lo's etc. because I have committed myself to organize my photos using LOM/Stacy. Yet at the same time I have completed MORE small projects thanks to BPS!

Hi Ali! I have been putting off my own childhood album. All those pictures sitting a box just waiting for me. They are wonderful to look at and reminisce about, but the idea of putting them in an album and creating something with them seems like a huge undertaking. I don't have negatives so what if I mess up? I think I need a big sign in my craft room that says, "It is OKAY." Thanks for the give-away and I hope your pregnancy is going well. :)

My sister and I have been putting off a recipe album to document our mothers recipes. Our plan is to do one for all six of her children. We keep putting it off because she is no longer with us and for some reason we want it to be perfect...even though we know she will understand if it is not. :)

putting off layouts of the past....mostly because I don't have all my photos organized in chronological order and I am afraid to do anything without the order first.

I love your album and the idea of using paint as an adhesive. It has never crossed my mind. Great tip!
I have been putting of finishing off an album b/c I don't know how to tie this vacation of ours together. We went to Disneyland, San Diego Zoo, Sea World and Legoland and I've been using Disney paper and embellishments for the Disneyland stuff but I'm not sure how to tie in the other parts of the trip. How do I tie in the other parts of the trip so it looks like one album? I'm still trying to figure it out. Essentially pefectionism is the thing that holds me back. I guess everything doesn't have to be perfect but scrapbooking sometimes seems that way.

I have a memory album that I am making from the school where I used to work. I have it almost finished (47 out of 52 pages). Haven't touched it in over a month. I made one for my boss and it just isn't as much fun the second time around. Gotta get to work on it and get it out of the way!!!
