Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

I have been putting off my All About Me Book. I have the cover done and the first page. I don't have pictures that I like and just can't seem to bring myself to do it.

My son is now 2 and I still haven't put together all of his baby layouts. But I am trying to keep up on documenting what's current. I just need to make the time for his baby years layouts because there so much from there that I don't want to forget.

My wedding photos from over 4 1/2 years ago remain untouched. I just find the thought of starting that project so intimidating!

My trip to Africa. I would love to spend a weekend going over the photos and journaling the whole experience. It is a big project so finding the time to organize it and reflect on my trip is where I get stuck.

I have been wanting to do a project about my son. He is a senior in high school this year and I feel like my little boy is moving in a new grown up world and I want to go back and remember the little him. Sounds so corny and I never thought this would be me, guess we are always their Moms!!!

I've been putting off working on a heritage album. I've been collecting stories and pictures and I have it all in one place but am overwhelmed at the thought of coming up with a "scheme" for it all - and then hating it once I've started and having to start over.

Wow, Ali! I would absolutely LOVE to have one of these gorgeous albums. Then maybe I would stop putting off the various albums I have to do (wedding, and I make a yearly album for my nephews!)
Thanks for the chance! Jodi

I've been putting off a lot of personal projects because I've been giving all my time to the papercrafting classes I teach each month. I find it a difficult balancing act.

Hi Ally,
Remember me from SAVE?? Poconos in Pa?? Always love all of your stuff! Great idea with paint as adhesive...will definitely try. I have been putting off baby albums of my kids...ages 16, 17, 31. Reason: I have to find and organize the pictures! I know I can do it.
Pick me...I love the albums!

I am putting off my wedding album, and an all about me project.
I love the clear albums. I took your class in Chicago and finished up my July 2008 album last weekend and LOVE how it turned out. I would love to do more like it!

I've been putting off finishing my vacation trip to Romania. The main layout work and planning is all done; just need to finish it up. It's NOT the fun part for me with this album. :(

I've been putting off a mini album of my grandson's first year. It's about 3 months overdue already, so I really must get at it. I need a push in the right direction, so I have been looking forward to reading your book on mini's. It's been ordered!!!

Somewhere toward the beginning of the year I began a minibook with pic's I took for one day (every hour for one day I took a pic of what I was doing, with a part of me somehow in the photo--your photo/day pic's inspired that idea). I did the cover and two of the pages, I have all the photos and journaling, the products all together--but I haven't been able to finish it.
The reason I've been putting it off for so long is that I've had other more pressing commitments--you know how it is, working for your deadlines. The next series on Paperclipping is about Reclaiming Yourself in scrapbooking, so now I have self-imposed a deadline for finishing this book. My only problem is I have a lot of other content already finished, so the deadline isn't really urgent. We'll see if I can get it done anyway, lol.

I have been putting off completing an album for a solo road trip I made in 2006. I did several layouts, and then felt I lost my creative streak. I've since made a several minibooks but can't seem to get back in the road trip groove.

I have been putting off making a Layout about my FIL who crashed his Ag Spray plane in May. He survived, with minor cuts and major bruises, and is OK now. I did journaling in my datebook soon after it happened and have plenty of pictures. But for some reason just haven't been able to do it yet. I have it pictured in my head how it will look, and want to do it for my son, now almost 3, so he can know about it later. Love these clear albums and that All Mixed up one looks really fun! Thanks!!
