Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

Unfortunately I've been putting off making a book about my Mom. She passed away in 2004 and I just can't come up with the right format. I want it kind of freestyle, not to Foo Foo, if thats a word. Simple like she liked things, but full of memories of her.

Pick me pick me :) My 2nd baby is five months old and I have been putting off doing any layouts about her yet...too tired, too busy, too many photos to choose from, and scrap room too messy to have baby in there with me. But I just got your newest book and am starting to feel the beginnings of motivation again.

Well, this might be TMI, but the project I've been putting off is a mini size journal/album of my infertility issues with my ex. It's been quite the emotional struggle but it is so important for my story.

I have been putting off a few things. The most important is trying to create some sort of book about my grandma and her life. I'm putting it off because I still miss her so much and I'm not sure where to begin to document 83 years of life. I'm also putting off scanning in years and years of old photos...for obvious reasons!

The project I am putting off is an album of my son's military time while being trained before being deployed (it is not basic-it is specific training in his chosen field) so many things to organize about it- too overwhelming right now -
also lacking bad in my photo taking of everyday!!
Thanks for the great give away!!!
Peace~!~

My little boy just turned one. He has two older sisters who have countless pages and albums devoted to their sweetness and sometimes crazy antics, but poor Tyler has about four layouts where he is the subject. I've been wanting to do something special for him (and only him) but haven't had lots of inspiration.
But I love these albums. I know I could cook something cute up with these things. I can feel the wheels turning already...
Thanks Ali!

Scrapping my wedding photos into an album. Too daunting a task. I don't know how to keep it timeless and simple and cohesive ... all that stuff that comes so naturally to you ;-)

I have been putting off making a gift album of my husbands occupation, placer mining. The sheer volume is what has stopped me from getting started. It is something i know he would appreciate so much, every Christmas and every birthday i think "what a perfect gift that would be."
Some day!

I have been putting off starting on my daughters albums/layouts. I have been in boy mode for 5 years now and I'm having a hard time switching to do some girl pages.
I love all the girl things though.
Congrats on your girl...maybe I'll find my inspiration when you start doing girl pages!

I have never tried a clear album before~they look so intimidating. I need to get over it and just try one*!*
One of my best friends moved away right after high school. I've been shooting photos all over town of our high school, various landmarks, etc. to put in a mini book for her birthday. I am having a hard time starting...I think I've put it off because I want it to be perfect. That makes no sense does it? How can I finish if I don't even start?!?

I try not to put off any project. I want to work each album/page/thought as it comes to me. Except my wedding that is. I haven't scrapped that one yet. Why? Too much emotion. We were only engaged for five days and neither of our sisters made it to the actual wedding. We didn't even have a reception that day. (Although we did a year later.) Almost ten years married and it's unrepresented...I need to change that!

There is a list of list of projects I am putting off but the most anxiety producing, is a project I was asked to make for a family member using her photos and meant to hang in her son's dorm room in college...I don't like scrapping with other people's photos and as the mother of 3 girls I have no idea how to scrap for a teenage boy AND the quality of photos she gave me is not great! i keep thinking of working on it and quickly find something else to do instead! Help!

I've been putting off doing a daily Christmas album for this coming Christmas. My son and his girlfriend (both in the Marine
Corps) are coming home for Christmas and I really want to document this special time while they are here. I've just been so busy with other family stuff I haven't had the time or energy. LoVE acrylic albums Ali. Thanks for the contest.
