Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

I have two albums that I've been putting off finishing. I must say that the hardest part is probably coming up with creative layouts, but I cant use that excuse for either of these. I have the photos and layouts for all the pages in my albums all set to be glued into place, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. The fun part is in the design. I haven't been able to find any motivation to glue yet!

I have been putting off a mini album of my sister because she was killed in a car accident in February. I have a set of great photos of her from camping a few years ago where she didn't know I was taking her picture and she was playing with her daughter (who just turned 4). I'm almost ready though, I can at least look at them and not cry the whole time.

I have been putting off scrapbooking all together. It is very hard to find the time to scrapbook with two young children. How do you find time?

I have been putting off a school days album. In an effort to capture the pictures and words that most accurately describe my children's school experiences (an my personal gratitude), I've delayed the projects. This giveaway could be just what I need to start the process. My daughter started Kindergarten last month and my son is in pre-school, so I better start now before I turn around and they're graduating from H.S. Ha, ha!

Hey! Great question! I have been putting off an album to celebrate our trip to Disneyland last summer. I don't want it to be "too Disney" but it is hard to escape the whole red, black and yellow thing. There are also so many Disney products it is hard to think outside the box for this type of trip.

project I have been putting off....there are several projects I have been putting off but the most recent is a album for one of my long time friend (since high school). She loves my work and asked me to put together an album for her but time is just not on my side right now. the sad part is when Hurricane Ike was coming in for Houston I had it all planned out the I would work on it for her while weathering the storm but I got so wrapped up into the news coverage that the time slipped right passed me! I didn't get one page done but at least all is good with me and my family. The destruction was horrible!

I need to make some shrine cards for a swap on Saturday and still have yet to start them. I think the main 2 reasons are either: 1) I don't have the time or 2) when I have the time, I don't have the energy.

I've actually put off all scrapping because I think I need to be more organized. I really should just pull out some pictures and get the story down before I forget so much. Thanks for the question. I think I'll go scrap something, anything.

Honestly, I can not scrap myself. I don't know what it is about putting my story down. I just keep avoiding it. I have even made albums from kits with the intention of making them about me for my children and I just can't do it. I'm always making books and projects about the kids to the kids. I'm always thinking about how I wish someone had recorded my childhood in the way I am doing it for my children. I know I will some day put my story down but for now I want those baby books and school day layouts made for my kids.

I have been putting off creating a layout of professional portraits that a friend of mine asked me to make way back in May!
I am notorious for putting off finishing layouts or albums...generally they just need one more thing (journal block, a layout, an embellishment, etc.). It would really be soooo simple but it's soooo hard! Right now I need to finish my vacation album to the Bahamas, a vacation album to Alaska, my son's Disneyland album and two albums for my daughter's experiences in the Miss Nebraska pageant! Maybe I should just designated a weekend for this very purpose! Finish things not start new things! Miss Niki

I have been putting off actually completing a baby scrapbook for my daughter. I have started a few pages and now I just scrap whatever pics go with what paper and embelishments I have. The main reason I put it off is because I don't have all the "right paper and embelishments" to go with her baby pics. When funds are low you scrap using what you have. I appreciate opportunities for giveaways. YEAH!!!

I've been putting off the ones I do for my preschool children that I teach. Seems like there is always something "more urgent" but how I love working on their little books so.

I have been putting off making/starting a year in review of 08....I had HUGE, I'm-going-to-be-so-productive plans to start in January and go one month at a time, but alas, it is September and I have cute paper and a mini-album in a stack on my floor. :-) OOPs.....

I think I'm the 1,000th comment!! Crazy!!
There are a lot of layouts that I have been putting off. I'm less likely to do a layout completely about myself. For some reason, I put those off....
