Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

My kids' school scrapbooks. My 4th grader's book is all ready to assemble. I have all the pieces - just haven't taken the time to make it a priority. Let's just say she will be very happy when I get to it!!

I have been putting off scrapbooking in general as I focus on more present needs... but am feeling like I need to be creative in order to meet some of my OWN needs.

I've been putting off a memory book about my mom. I have piles of momentos from her youth, but I find that I miss her so much that I can't bring myself to get started. Looking through the items becomes a trip down memory lane and completely unproductive.

I've been putting off scrapping my son's 1st Christmas. I took a million pictures, but I built the event up too much in my head, and I feel like I have to do these AMAZING pages because it was his 1st christmas. So I just haven't done anything.

I have been putting off many project albums because I seem to be stuck in a rut. Not knowing where to start.
I would like to get my childrens school albums finished. I have a 6th grader and 2nd grader.

Hi Ali!
Love the scalloped album and how some of the photos 'peak through' the paint. Too cute!
My layout/album I've been avoiding: I just graduated from college in May and due to lots of things beyond my control am not going to grad school as planned. The transition from college is hard enough, but now there's even more unknown. I've been meaning to/need to scrap about this time in my life, but sitting in the midst of it the emotions are still very raw and scary!
Thanks for all the inspiration!!

My wedding album. I just can't decide how I want to do it... today is our 4th Anniversary so maybe in the next 4 years I'll figure it out.

Hi Ali-
I've been procrastinating on all scrapping lately....but the one layout I've really been puttin off lately is one about my grandfather's death in 2003. I want to write my daugther a letter about him, and I'm putting it off in a major way.
Thanks for the contest.

Two major things I have been putting off is a mini book for my son, like a "Things I love about you" type book and a memory book about my grandma for my brother. He took care of her for years and misses her so much. I wanted to give it to him for Christmas last year, but I never finished (or started it). I take her pictures out, look at them, separate them in piles etc, but they never make it on page. I suppose I haven't made the album because she was such an amazing lady and I want the album to be perfect - a tribute to her - and I've been afraid to start it because it might not turn out like I want it to. Ridiculous I know...I just need to let go and do it!! Maybe for a gift this Christmas?!

I have been putting off my sisters courage album. She has melonoma and I want to make her a book documenting all the stuff she has been through. I just know it will be tough emotionally to deal with it all again.

I would create a series of mini albums from a trip to Europe that my daughter & I took. I have the big albums, but with her in another state I would like her to have a mini memory book.

I have been putting off my kids' baby albums. Going through all of my photos and finding each "month" and milestone seems really overwhelming. Also, I didn't do a very good job of journaling while they were little, so trying to remember everything seems very overwhelming too.

What a cute album! Love the acrylic look, but haven't tried it yet.
I have been putting off finishing a vacation album from a Disney cruise we took with my parents last December. I designed it to be a Shutterfly album, but I'm afraid to actually get it printed because once I do, I can't change anything...page order, typos, etc. I'm also afraid that I've missed something important, like a certain attraction we lied or a certain restaurant we tried. I'm trying to get go of the need for it to be perfect and just "get her done"!

I have been putting off reorganizing my pictures because it seems like such a huge project to undertake. Just a lame excuse I guess but that is the only one I have.
