Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

I have been putting off the albums for my niece and nephew from our trip to Disneyland, which also included a side trip to the San Diego Wild Animal Park....in 1996!! How's that for some serious procrastination! Initially, I delayed because I hadn't gotten all the film developed, then it was because everytime I started to work on layouts, I'd realize I didn't have all the photos with me. Then it just seemed to be such an overwhelming task. And, of course, I had to find the "perfect" albums to put the pages in, lol! But now, I have (I think!) all the photos together and am working on gathering all the Disney-themed papers and embellishments I've accumulated through the years so when I attend the 3-day retreat at my LSS next month, I will FINALLY get those albums done. I know my now 17 yr old niece and 19 yr old nephew will love getting these albums at Christmas!

Love those albums!
I've been putting off scrappin my daughter's week at Girl Scout Day Camp. I was one of her leaders there, and I took tons of pictures. I feel like there is a lot of story to tell there, so it's a bit overwhelming thinking about how to organize it. May have to use the square punch. :)

I have been putting off starting a scrapbook of our Journey to Parenthood. We have been trying for over 6 years and had 3 miscarriages along the way. I have been putting it off because I want it to be perfect, in design and in conveying my thoughts.

I love those albums, would love to have a chance to win them! The projects I have been putting off....My 2007 Portland Rose Festival Album. I decided I wanted to do a whole album for that year! I am using coordinating paper pads (gasp!) so the pages are all different and individual, but I am getting so burned out on this project! We did 5 events that year, and I have finished 2 of them! I really need to finish it! Hmmm, maybe I could put my faves in one of my brand new Clear Scraps album! lol

I've been putting off a baby's first year album. My son is now 4! I've been putting it off because I keep making gift albums for people--like for birthdays, retirements, etc.--and I don't have time to scrap my own family's pictures! LOL

I;ve been trying to finish my album from CKU from your class. But I find it much easier to scrapbook about my boys and not myself!

Ordered Ali's kit from Cocoa Daisy last July and until now it is still work in progress. I just finished coloring it red (the chipboard album) and I am working my way in doing the inside but dread working with the clear pages like the one on top. I think I just need to get use to it and not be afraid.
I will definitely work on it this weekend. Thanks.

A gift album for a friend. I think I'm putting it off because it isn't for me, so I'm scared it won't turn out right.

I love those clear albums! They are my new favourite!
I have been putting off doing my son's preschool years. I was thinking of using a clear album because they are super easy to do and small enough for our children's little hands ....and laps :-)
Thanks Ali!

My wedding scrapbook. And this October will be our 18th anniversary. How's that for procrastination???:) I guess I just want it to be timeless and I fear I will end up "dating" it somehow, and not in a good way!

We went to Monterey, CA in August and I haven't been able to get the layouts done the way I want them. I keep hm-hawing around and get frustrated and abandon it for something. Worse yet, my husband's mom keeps asking me to see the pictures.

I'm afraid I've lost a bit of myself on my journey as mom of 5 kids/wife/homemaker/member of a large extended family/school teacher/school administrator/community and church volunteer. I'd like to do a scrapbook about who I am right now, in the hopes that I'll find myself again and remember who I really am. But I am afraid that what I might actually find will be lacking and far removed from who I'm really trying to be. The fear of what I'll find (even if it's something good or great) has been paralyzing me into inaction!

I've been putting off my sister's wedding album that I'm going to make for her. I really hate editing photos, but the photos need a LOT of editing and so I've been procrastinating :-P

I have been putting off scrapbooking the pictures I have piled up from before I got married. With a new baby, it's way more fun to work on her pages than photos from way back. I love getting a pack of pictures in the mail and doing a layout with them instead of going back to old ones.
