What a wonderful gifting you're doing! And congrats on making 1,000 Blogs!
There are SO many things I'm looking forward to this year! Having my daughter home from college for a WHOLE month, having our son & his family here the day after Christmas, the food, the decorations, taking our traditional drive around to see the lights ... I absolutely love Christmas!

Definitely making memories with my son, who is almost 5. I love having my husband off work and around more as well. Decorating and making holiday crafts ranks up there as well.

I miss the wide eyes and anticipation my children had when they were younger. But when we start decorating the tree, they start remembering when we got this ornament or the Christmas when we ____ and I see the majic and memories and I get excited again.

My mom just moved this summer to near where we live (versus the 14-hour drive distance before), so this year I am looking forward to spending real quality time with my mom throughout the season instead of figuring out travel plans and stuffing time spent in a short, rushed time frame. And I look forward to deorating my mantle with a home-made Christmas "village".

I am looking forward to the day after Thanksgiving. My parents, my husband and I, brother, his wife and my niece and nephew go on a hunt to find the most PERFECT Christmas tree ever! After we finally find it, we go out to lunch and then back to my parents to help decorate the house and tree. It's always my favorite part.

I am looking forward to a new chapter in our lives this holiday season...celebrating my baby girl's first Christmas. I'm looking forward to all the sights, sounds, and smells of the season and sharing them with her. I'm looking forward to documenting her first holiday season with my first Daily December book. Can't wait to take her to sit on Santa's lap either.

Decorating the house is my absolute favourite part of the season. I go overboard (in a good way) and my tree goes up November 1. Why have something so beautiful in th box for longer than it needs to be :) I also love the look on my childrens faces on Christmas morning. The wonder and amazement on their faces is priceless.

Keeping it all real and keeping it simple. For two years, I have been attempting to live by my one word...simplify. I look forward to a simple and precious holiday.
