Christmas on my husband's side of the family will be tough this year as his mom recently passed away. So I'm most looking forward to our gift to each other this year - a trip to Vegas starting Jan 1st! :) The second best thing this Christmas will be seeing my 16-month-old nephew enjoy it. Love love the giveaways - thanks so much for all the inspriation!

Aside from the usual holiday decorating, baking, music and "How the Grinch Stole Christmas?" I am looking forward to making this album! Started yesterday and am making one for myself, and also one for my mom and for my sister. I am including fabric from my grandma's old aprons (she died 10 years ago), and also Christmas carol pages from her old German books (that I have also saved.) These will be very meaningful books. Thanks for the inspiration you always give so freely!

First may I take this chance to say, Ali, you are such an inspiration! I'm new to blogging and I really enjoy keeping up w/ your site. Thank you! During the holiday season, I think I most look forward to our cookie baking day. No shopping, no wrapping, no laundry, just an entire day devoted to working together in the kitchen. The house smells so good! We then deliver all those cookies to neighbors, friends and family. What a joy.

This year my babies will be 2 1/2 and are starting to get the holiday stuff, I'm looking forward to reading them Christmas stories from when I was little and seeing how excited they get when they help decorate the tree. Note we will not be using the breakable ornaments this year! I will be doing another book for this Christmas but I'll be using numbered index card dividers as the basis of my album, keeping it easy and simple to document the everyday!

Looking forward to play Christmas tunes all day long! It feels so cozy. And not having all that many I know almost all songs by heart, which means I'm humming non-stop. Furthermore I totally adore the little lights put on everywhere. Would love to be able to attend the family dinner, but living in different countries that's probably not gonna happen.
