What I am looking forward to is taking time to S L O W down from all the work travel. I can't wait to just play with my children, drink hot chocolate, sit by the fire, sing Christmas carols, bake cookies and just enjoy each other's company.

Watching Christmas movies, eating my Grandma's sugar cookies, drinking cocoa and peppermint lattes, turning off all the lights except the Christmas tree and just enjoying some peace.

This year.........has to be having two whole weeks off work! First time I've worked anywhere that shuts down for Christmas. How cool is that? I may stay the whole year!!

December is my very favorite time of year - LOVE all the holiday music, eggnog lattes, decorations, searching for the perfect tree, setting up the nativity, driving down streets of twinkling light displays with the kids, all the traditions, being with family we don't see enough. I'm SUPER-excited to make my first December Daily book this year!!

I'm most looking forward to the traditions, and to putting the "meaning" back into Christmas. This year our kids will get a gift of: Joy, knowledge, warmth and surprise. In addition to a few others. However we are scaling back from years past.

I am looking forward to creating new holiday memories with my new slightly altered traditions. I want to do something holiday each day leading up to the 25th, baking a new sweet treat and taking tons of photos. But mainly spending time with my family. Just being around them nourishes my soul;)

Best things about christmas (in no particular order)...magic and sparkles, the kiddies happiness and excitement being so catching, seeing friends at pre-christmas functions, seasonal cheer & joy (wine & chocolate), twinkly lights & silver tree decorations, lemon prawns on the bbq on a hot christmas day, kids having fun with their cousins, wrapping presents (I am rather obsessed with it), family time, seeing relatives we haven't seen in ages, delighted expressions on kiddie's faces, overindulgence at christmas lunch, relaxing and enjoying, boxing day sales!!
Phew, that just about sums up my Aussie christmas! Cheers, Lee :)

Christmas on my husband's side of the family will be tough this year as his mom recently passed away. So I'm most looking forward to our gift to each other this year - a trip to Vegas starting Jan 1st! :) The second best thing this Christmas will be seeing my 16-month-old nephew enjoy it. Love love the giveaways - thanks so much for all the inspriation!

I'm most looking forward to Christmas with my family. Both of my brother's wives just had babies and they'll be about 6 months old at Christmas and I'm most looking forward to seeing them and my two children interact and play together on Christmas morning.
