Three Things : Three Giveaways
A fun Tuesday giveaway:
1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.
2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).
3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).
To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

Fall is a time of change. It is a color make-over in our house. Out come the decorations for Halloween and Thanksgiving and we change from primarily green to shades of yellow, orange and brown. The season holds such promise.

Fall in Minnesota brings beautiful colors and cooler temps. I pull out the sweaters and sweatshirts and sleep with the window open a crack. Things slow down and I get back to scrapbooking.

Good morning Ali!
Celebrating fall? we try and do something outdoorsy in the Atlanta area, a trip up to the mountains for a day or hiking and exploring or just a long walk in the big park in the city. Our fave thing though is football season. Season tickets to our Alma Mater puts us right in the weather, the fun and the glory that is the fall college football season in the southeast. :)

I like to take my kids to Jackson's Orchard and pick pumpkins, eat caramel apples, ride horses, and take a wagon ride. I also take the kids to a pretty park in our town and take fall photos of them that I share with family.

Fall = a great wreath on the front door, new candles, a crockpot full of hot apple cider, and warm clothes. :)

Ever since I can remember my gpa and gma have taken me to get a pumpkin(yes even in my adult years it's one of those things that make them smile) followed by a trip to where ever i called home apt or house and Gpa makes a cornshawk(Gpa's Term) with the harvested carn stalks from his garden he decorates it with some indian corn and gourds just for me. They now do this with me and my 3 children its a treat and i look forward to it every year.
WE also celebrate fall with a family photo taken outside on a bale of straw usually with some hardy mums beside, love the colors outside and looks great. This year we took a trip to the local apple orchard which was a blast so I think that may become a new tradition. ANd of course a Fall mini album is made for us all to remember the fun times of Fall.

We celebrate fall in Florida by looking for the tiny expressions of this wonderful season. There is not much of it down south but if you look you will see red holly berries, the sporadic maple tree turning red, and the cypress trees beginning to bald.

Perfect timing! I just blogged about our Autumn kick-off traditions yesterday. On Saturday, we celebrate by getting up early to stand in line for the doors to open at our Church's bi-annual rummage sale (wonderful finds!); then we all go to breakfast, the Zoo Boo, lunch/dinner out, a Haunted House and a hayride. On Sunday we load up two cars and head on over to the pumpkin farm where we play in the corn maze, pet the animals, pick pumpkins, drink apple cider, shop for produce and yummy bakery goods and just have a wonderful time.

We have a couple of trips we like to do to the fish hatchery, the pumpkin patch and sometimes apple picking. We LOVE Halloween around here and have been getting ready for that in the last week or so. This is definitely my fav time of year just to be out and enjoying the crisp weather.

Fall means being outside in the crisp air and bright Carolina blue skies. It means big pots of soup and homemade bread. Capturing it all in photos is fun!

We got to the A-maizing corn maze. Another fall tradition in this Halloween loving home is decorating for Halloween in September and making pumpkin soup to eat while we watch The Nightmare Before Christmas. We spend the entire season singing the soundtrack.

We usually try to take a trip in the fall - somewhere new where the leaves are turning. We've done Seattle, Colorado, Virginia, and now this year, Nashville.

ALi! WE made APPLE BUTTER! As a family we picked apples from a local orchard in Medina Ohio - GIEGS...great place. We (jalyn and kyla age 4 mom and dad) went and picked 50 lbs. of apples. WE cooked them down and for hours...canned last two nights. Then, the preschool teachers for jalyn and kyla got apple butter and a huge, huge, apple for a treat! It was great and oh, my house smells so GOOD! YUMMY!
