Three Things : Three Giveaways
A fun Tuesday giveaway:
1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.
2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).
3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).
To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

Our fall tradition is probably amoung the oldest, it is the accumulation of a year's hard work. Now that the colors have faded from the trees here in SW Minnesota, the soybeans are harvested and the combines are rumbling through the corn fields. It is a race to harvest and store all the corn crop before we feel Old Man Winter's first icy blast.

We celebrate the fall season each night by walking in our neighborhood and admiring the brilliant colors of our trees. My son shuffles and crunches through the leaves on the side of the road. Then we come home, put a movie in, and make some hot chocolate.

Fall is soup season! I live in Seattle, and love the rainy days when I can put on a pot of soup and then have some time to scrapbook or craft while it simmers to perfection.
Thanks for the chance to win these great giveaways!

Hi Ali - love the goodies! My family and I celebrate fall by always going to the pumpkin patch. We just went this past Sunday - I refused to go last weekend it was too warm lol! You cna't hunt pumpkins in 80 degree weather! Anyhow, we also buy apple dumplings by the ton. My MIL made these for my husband all the time before she passes away and it's one fall treat he misses a lot from her. So we buy them whenever we can this time of year. I made a layout just for this memory and have it posted over at Tally Scrapper.com These are the two things that most stand out to me about how we celebrate fall.

To celebrate the fall season we visit local farm stands to buy local produce and our pumpkins and gourds for decorating. We decorate for fall and Halloween, and have a big celebration on Halloween with a big dinner (on the scale of Thanksgiving or Christmas dinners) to celebrate what is one of my most favorite Holidays.

I celebrated the fall season this year by getting married on September 20,2008. So from now on it will definitly be a special and sacred time to me as we will celebrate our anniversary every fall. However in addition to that I love taking advantage of the beautiful weather and taking photos as well as doing some baking!

I want to celebrate fall by going outside and catching falling leaves, breaking out the sweaters, drinking cocoa and hot cider, going apple picking. But especially the going outside part - living in Arizona, I wait breathlessly for the lower temperatures. :)

It doesn't always FEEL like fall here in the south, but we always go to the pumpkin patch and the festival that our town has downtown. Lots of chili on days that ARE cool!

pumpkin spice lattes, candles glowing all over the house, pumpkin crafts and cutouts, train rides at the pumpkin patch, nature walks to see all the leaves changing, popcorn balls and caramel apples, pumpkin cookies decorated by a 3 year old and homemade pumpkin pie. *i really like pumpkin flavored stuff!* ;)

Every year we drag our now teenagers out to the same pumpkin farm to pick out pumpkins and apples. They hate it at first, but then end up having fun. It's a family tradition we've had since they were little. It was especially nice this year since our daughter will be away at college next year and probably won't go with us. We get pumpkins, crisp apples, fall mums and sometimes apple cider.

Fall is my favorite season. I start off with Halloween--no scary decorations but I dress up every year to give out candy. I make treat bags for each of my trick or treaters. I decorate the outside of the house with pumpkins, corn stalks, and gourds. My home is filled with home-made baked goods, apple cider and all the colors of fall.

I drag my family outside for those last warm(ish) weather walks through crunchy leaves, marvel at the textures & colours in the woods and then snuggle up on the couch with warm blankets and lit candles. Perfect day for me :)
Just got back from a walk with my sweetie a few minutes ago...

I have enjoyed fall season every year! We are unable to have own kids. But it didn't stop us from that. I kept up taking pictures of the changing color leaves. beautiful... We would take our "kids" to pumpkin patch too. And get our own each pumpkins for carving and have some roasted seeds. We even would go for apple picking almost every year. Having apple cider drink, yummy. I love to take out fall stuffs to put up in house. My favorite part to have some collection with vary pumpkins too. Plus give out candies for Halloween. It has always been my mom's favorite holiday time of year. It has been 10 years since she have been gone to heaven.

we celebrate fall with apple picking and pumpkin picking as a family.
we start with the apple picking in september. followed by pumpkin picking closer to halloween.
this year by ds and dd have added following the grey squirrels to our fall traditions. my dd who is 4 learned a grey squirrel song in school and ever since has been fasinated by them.
it has been great- since it has opened great conversation about why squirrels collect nuts, etc.. i'm loving it!!

stock up on things that warm our sides, soup fixings, good coffees and cocoas, get out the long sleeves and sweaters, take in the beauty of the season, the oranges and golds, be aware of all we have in each other and how full my heart feels at it all.
