Three Things : Three Giveaways
A fun Tuesday giveaway:
1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.
2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).
3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).
To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

We celebrate by eating fresh apples and apple cake, decorating with pumpkins and gourds, and going on lots of walks to admire fall's beauty.

We celebrate the fall by of course visiting a local farmer for a good supply of apples for lots of apple crisp. And we always go to the pumpkin patch. My kiddos are self declared "too old for that" so this year I'm borrowin someone else's munchkins.

I'm celebrating fall through the eyes of my 18 month old grandaughter! She's fascinated with all the acorns and leaves that are filling our front yard and she helped pick out our pumpkins and mums that we use to decorate the front of the house. To see her face light up as the seasons change makes me appreciate each new day.children are such a blessing!!

Almost every year since I was five (so about 25 years now) we have gone camping at McCormick's Creek State Park. We've only missed a few years. It is beautiful, we enjoy the color change of the leaves, hiking in the blissful weather and biking up to the Inn. Each year we take a group photo to document the additions in families and which friends are able to come. It's an amazing experience!

We'll be celebrating fall this year at our house just like we did two years ago. We'll go to the pumpkin patch to find a really big pumpkin. Then we'll do this: http://www.gabrielschmitz.com/archives/2006/10/its_the_great_p.html#comments , just with the next kid.

My home is full of golden leaves and scarecrows, which is unusual, because I live in the UK and people don't decorate for autumn! I love the collecting of apples and baking, the fires, the pumpkins, and the anticipation of longer evenings to get sewing and scrapping ready for Christmas. Cosy. Warm. Home.

We hiked a mountain. The foliage was breathtaking and there were 5 hot air balloons. The experience was surreal. A good family activity.

I was raised on the East Coast and the crisp air, apples, and colorful leaves were my traditions of fall. Now that I live in TX - fall season is a different thing. The air is perfectly mild for this short time, and I still enjoy the pumpkin patch but most of all a cold HoneyCrisp apple transforms me back to NY each time!

Fall is the favorite time of the year for our family. In Canada we celebrate Thanksgiving in October, which means great big family gatherings and all our favorite foods. It is also the weekend my husband and I were married- an extra thing to be thankful for each year!

One thing I do to try to celebrate fall is to take advantage of all of the traditional fall food. I make an effort to bake things with pumpkin, and cook with spices (clove, cinnamon, nutmeg). Just a little cinnamon in homemade tomato sauce gives the sauce such a warm cozy flavor. I also take advantage of ordering seasonal drinks & foods, such as the pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks or ordering butternut squash soup at my favorite soup joint.
