Three Things : Three Giveaways
A fun Tuesday giveaway:
1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.
2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).
3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).
To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

It isn't Fall without a trip to the pumpkin patch and corn maze. There are so many great photo opportunities and it is a wonderful family outing. I get in a frenzy taking photos! My favorite time of year!

In San Antonio, Texas there really isn't a Fall season. We don't really have traditional seasons, sicne it is hot most of the time. Still, I think Fall for me means Halloween costumes, pumkin carving and going camping for Thanksgiving with the family.

with a trip to the pumpkin patch, the carving of a jack-o-lantern, and my mom's famous homemade Halloween costumes! This year my son will be trick-or-treating for UNICEF as well, which I'm hoping will become tradition. :-)

Can you say, CROCKPOT? We can! We use it almost every day in the fall/winter - I love my crockpots - I have three! I love the house to smell YUMMY at all times so with the crockpot cooking and lots of yummy CANDLES burning this is accomplished pretty easily. We even burn candles in our fireplace instead of logs because I have "flue" issues...don't ask!
I usually invest in a NEW, COMFY BLANKIE or two (because my kids are huge texture freaks and they have to be SUPER SOFT) to throw over the couch and chairs in the living room. I also like to have friends over for coffee/tea and biscotti...yes the BISCOTTI comes out this time of year. We also like to BAKE COOKIES after school (nothing hard, sometimes just a scoop and bake) for a warm treat. I also like to wear crazy colored comfy socks this time of year and my boys LOVE their ROBES and FLANNEL PAJAMAS and we can't wait to put them on in the evening. We also like to create art projects with the pieces of nature we find in our backyard each year...makes some interesting conversation pieces for the kitchen. Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, I know what I'm going to blog about today! Thanks for the inspiration Ali! :)

Oh, it's definitely our favorite season! We go to the same pumpkin patch every year, carve pumpkins, and make lots of pumpkin bread. So much fun!

We celebrate fall by taking a family trip to the Pumpkin patch where we pick out baby pumpkins + mommy and daddy pumpkins (that's what the kids call the small, medium and large pumpkins!), We plant mums + jump in the leaves! Fall is a favorite in our house! Warm + Cozy!

What an amazing give-away!! We celebrate fall by lots of walks, with our feet shuffling through the beautiful colored leaves (is shuffling a word LOL?) and by bringing it into our home. I love it when my toddler picks up shiny chestnuts from the wet grass and cherishes them until we get home and add them to our fall-vase (that already contains leaves, twigs etc :)

Just trying to get outside more with my girls...walking around the lake, feeding the ducks, swinging on the swings. Also, making soups, yummm.

We celebrate Halloween like everyone else -- BUT on Nov. 1st (it will have to be the 2nd this year because I'll be in Eugene:)) We gather as a family and bake fallish stuff -- pumpkin breads and cookies -- we also make homemade baked "tater" soup and bread.

I cook anything and everything with pumpkin. I love the fall colors and my house is overflowing in oranges yellows reds and browns. I start my thankful box and encourage all my family members ti think of one item each day and then we read them on Thanksgiving.

We celebrate by visiting the cider mills, picking up the pumpkins, decorating the house going to the pumpkin patch and enjoying the fall running races. My husband and I got into running about 7 years ago to lose weight and now we enjoy the races in the fall because we can enjoy the beatiful fall colors.

I celebrate fall usually by taking a day or an evening to drive around and appreciate the beautiful fall colors, take pictures, carve some pumpkins...cook some heartwarming food. Drink hot apple cider. :)

As soon as the weather allows we try to be outside as much as we can. I take my camera wherever I go. Then at night or on a rainy day, I try to scrapbook as much as I can.
