A fun Tuesday giveaway:
1. Five gift certificates to Songbird Avenue. Here's what's cool about these guys: they are a digital scrapbooking-based online boutique
whose proceeds are donated to various charities each month in an effort
to give compassionately to those in need. Definitely a site to check out and support.
2. One November kit from Stampin With Steph (a Stampin Up independent demonstrator).
3. One November kit (designed by Stacy Julian) for Cocoa Daisy (you will receive this in early November).
To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know how you celebrate the fall season. Comments will be closed today (Tuesday) at 8pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

Hi Ali,
I think this is a first time comment for me....we celebrate fall at our house a visit to the mountains to see the gorgeous leaves, a hayride or semi-haunted trail, a trip to the pumpkin patch and pumpkin muffins!
Thanks for all you share...you're an inspiration! Lyn

Fall...apples festival, pumpkin patch, and opening the windows of our home as often as possible!
After moving to Ohio from Califoria I was amazed to see actual "changing of the seasons"! We've been in Ohio for 1 year and I'm still amazed by the colors.

Well, I celebrate fall with Thanskgiving. It is always a big family gathering, and we have a turkey dinner with apple or pumpkin pie.

To celebrate Fall we always go to the pumpkin patch and the corn maze. We also take a family picture to send as a Christmas card to family and friends!

we usually celebrate the fall season by changing over our home to it's warmer decor just as we put away our summer clothing and unpack our fall/winter clothing, buying and carving pumpkins, making caramel apples, going to the sorgum festival and buying homemade apple butter, playing in the leaves and cooking stews, soups and our traditional autumn meals. When my boys were young we'd all dress up for trick-or-treating and take them to our neighbors' homes and the local mall gave out candy and had lots of fun activities for the kids. Today was a perfect day to begin getting into the spirit of my favorite season. Thanks Ali. It's inspirational reading all the different ways to celebrate Fall.

Ali- I LOVE your new book!
My family and I go to a pumpkin patch every year. We always pick out 5 pumpkins. One for Daddy, one for Mommy, one for Avery and one for Evan. The very last one has to be the smallest one, and that is for our kitty.
We carve the pumpkins together and then toast and eat the pumpkin seeds. Mommy likes to play halloween music as we carve. And of course I take lots and lots of photos!

Hi Ali! I love love love Fall! It's so darn awesome. I love celebrating at the Pumpkin Patch with lots of photos and fun. But at home, nothing beats decorating the front porch with corn stalks, pumpkins, and hay bales, and jumping in the leaves with the kids and all our neighbors. :)

Fall is my favorite season even though here in Texas we don't get the traditional fall transition. Every year we go to our church's Fall Festival which is free and the kids get tons of candy. We make caramel apples, and colored popcorn balls. We drink cocoa and make stews. We also visit a pumpkin patch with our homeschool group. Sometimes we go on vacation...October seems to be the month we like to take our vacation as a family, it seems as though everyone slows down in October. We use this month as a time to catch up on fun stuff and to catch our breath before all of the winter holiday craze. I love your blog....thank you for sharing your ideas.

How do I celebrate the season?
Simply by savoring the different senses that autumn brings. The coolness of it, drinking hot chocolate or tea bundled up, enjoying the different colors of the leaves in the trees & hearing the rustling of the leaves when we rake the yard.
I just love the beauty of it. But I especially love bundling up with my little family and sitting together under a fleece blanket watching movies together.

I've never really celebrated fall... until this year ! I just had a baby and suddenly I want to celebrate every single occasion ! So this fall it will be : cosy house (a new blanket for cold evenings) ; decorating home with fall colors and warm light ; cooking (apple crumble, carrot cake, pumpkin soup...)
In fact, fall is my favorite season... as I was born in October !

We go with my niece and nephew to a pumpkin patch where there are all kinds of activities: a 40ft. slide, hay rides, corn field maze, hay maze, pumpkin slinging, and a barrel train ( train made our of huge barrels that is pulled by a John Deere tractor). We enjoy lunch while we are there and I take a ton of pictures. I also take them trick or treating and I make baked goods with pumpkin puree (yummy!).

We celebrate fall by taking a yearly four wheeler ride in the mountains (yearly for me - weekly for my husband since it's hunting season). We try to hit a different area each year - and I always get the coolest pictures. I love those days. I also celebrate fall by putting all of my fall decorations out which somehow makes my house feel so cozy. I also pull out all of my fall smelling scently scents and start burning those - I love the smell of fall!

Burning candles with warm scents like banana bread, dutch bakery, cinnamon buns and spiced pumpkin is one of the very first things I do when fall descends on Southern Illinois. Then, out comes my little collection of scarecrows, and pumkins to decorate the house & porch. Followed by a trip to the store to buy some mums for the front steps.
Bonfires and hayrides are always on my list of favorite fall activites. Of course, finding the perfect pumpkin is also one of our favorite was to celerate fall.
