December Daily : Day Nine
Tags:Sometimes during December Daily the things I capture don't really have much to do with holiday decorations, traditions, or events. Sometimes they are wonderful, little, everyday moments that I happen upon just because the camera was out and accessible.
Simon and Chris doing homework together - part of our evening ritual either before or after dinner. Having a conversation about what Simon had just read out loud. Making a connection between reading and life.
Behind the camera I am thinking about our role as parents. Watching life unfold. Holding hands. Thinking about the past and the future and all those little moments in between. Considering how lucky we are to have this person in our lives.

This page begins on the back of yesterday's with a photo covering the same photo location, a strip of printed twill, and a bit of hand-drawn journaling on top of the printed out strips.
Journaling was hand-written on the printed December Daily Photo + Journal Overlays and backed with Santa paper. I will do something on top of that Santa paper - just not sure quite yet.
Photo was printed with the digital Remember Word Art and stitched to the 7gypsies flocked pattern paper.
I just love that photo. Definitely one to enlarge and frame for here at home.

That sort of picture is the entire reason I started to scrap--truly. I absolute love when I capture a pic like that!! Nice job, like you need to hear that from a stranger :-))

The photos of Simon and his dad warm my heart. They're so wonderful - a really wonderful memory. I think you're happy that you were able to record it photographically. Many Greetings from Germany.

? How do you manage to punch holes in the acrylic overlay you used on Day 1 in order to slip it into your album?
