• Thinking a little tiny bit about Valentine projects (must be all the pink). Planning to use my new "Loving Stamps" from Technique Tuesday on something Valentine related. You can also pick up a similar digital version called "Loving Life Word Art." You can download the new Technique Tuesday 2009 Winter Supplement (pdf)
to see the entire line of stamps (or go here).

• Speaking of Valentine's, one of my favorite product lines from CHA last summer
(the big Craft & Hobby show) was from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Love Letters." I love the cardstock stickers (shown above),

• This wonderful print that is going to hang somewhere in my house (maybe in the baby's room or a bathroom) from isophotography (found via poppytalk handmade). It would make a great gift for a loved one.

• And one more lovey thing I couldn't resist this week: little love notes tickets from Making Memories.

My husband and I do not have an traditions really. We usually go out to dinner. One year we switched it up and went bowling and had fun. In my classroom students pass out their treats and I give them goodie bags.

we don't really do anything special. Sometimes we get Outback and bring it home. I'm hoping since my son is a little older, we can do some more things. I can't wait for his class party this year.

I love to order red heart shaped bagels for breakfast with the kids in the morning and I set the table with valentine plates and napkins and set up a little table top tree decorated with valentine ornaments and ribbon.

I make simple construction paper placemats for the kids and put on all the reasons they are loved - I leave this with a few chocolate treats at their place and they find it when they come down for breakfast.

We usually spend the evening all together, having a nice dinner at home. It's simple and it's easy, and we always have a great time.

At the end of January we bring out the Valentine's Day decorations and the kids basket full of Valentine's Day Books. And, since my kids are both in grade school we have fun making cards to exchange.
    Love is in the air!

On my first Valentine's Day with my husband we were living in Japan, so we went out for sushi and came home and watched a movie and drank hot chocolate. Since then we've done the same thing, whether living in Japan or the US!

I'm going to make eggs in a basket - with the bread cut with a heart cookie cutter for breakfast- and make heart shaped cut out cookies - and let my 3 1/2 yo frost and decorate with sprinkles for daddy. Just making the ordinary a little special.

My husband is actually the winner on Valentine's. I make him a card or a small accordian album...but last year, he went on Picaboo and had a book done about our love! The year before, he made a puzzle and when you put it all together, it was our first photo as a couple (in High School!) I can never out-create him when it comes to Valentines Day!

valentine's day is the hallmark holiday says my husband but he still indulges me with an awesome card (sadly not homemade) and we always have a special homemade dinner at home - this year it's a Saturday - I'm thinking of trying something I've NEVER made before - plus sending lots of fun treats to the nieces & nephews and my best buddies - all homemade. (LOVE LOVE LOVE your blog . . . I've just started reading in the last two weeks . . . can you say addicted . . .THANK YOU!)

Even though they are now in middle and high school, I still make my girls heart shaped sandwiches and Valentine cookies. When they were younger, it was tough to get a sitter mid-week, so our tradition has always been to stay in and make a special dinner to have once our daughters go to bed. That's getting later and later every year!!
Thanks for another chance to win.

Since my 11 year old was old enough to glue and glitter we have made handmade Valentine's cards for family and friends. My boys are now 8 and 11 and they look forward to this every year. We will be starting ours this weekend!
Thanks for the chance at a giveaway Ali.

My special Valentine's tradition is making my kids (and Hubby) handmade cards every year. This is something that I'm sure they'll appreciate more down the road, so to give them a little something that they appreciate now, I cut their PB&J's with a heart shaped cookie cutter (you can do pancakes like this as well) and they love it!

We do little heart-shaped things leading up to Valentine's Day as we find/can create them. Cupcakes, cookies, pancakes, etc. This year I bought my 6yo DD a little spatula/heart-shaped pancake mold kit (from Michael's) since pancakes & sausage are her favorite meal.
I will light small votives for a "candlelight breakfast" and we'll probably have a "candlelight dinner" that night.
For my adult friends I will send out some cute little cards (that are still in the forming stage in my mind at this point).
HAPPY LOVE DAY!! (I think that's a better term for it) :->

For as long as I can remember, my mother has always given my sister and I sweet little gifts on Valentines Day. We are both in our early 30's and late 20's and it is still something she likes to do. I love it and even when I (in my younger years) bemoaned that Valentine's Day was a "Hallmark holiday" I still and will always love the sentiment. In fact, I think it will be a tradition that I will pass along to my children.

We (me and my 3 kids) make homemade, heart-shaped pizzas. They look forward to it every year. It makes the cutest pictures too, I might add.

We've celebrated Valentine's with a picnic on the living room floor since our first year of marriage. We've added the kids to it and the meal changes from year to year, but hubby is always sure to bring me one of my favorite flowers, tulips.

My kids and I love Valentine's Day. Since they are all still little enough they get a kick out of decorating with little paper hearts that I will write words on that remind you of Sweetharts. When my husband comes home from work that night we all open the little presents we made or got for each other. It's just nice to be together!

I celebrate the fact that I was not born on Valentine's Day but the day after on 15th February. I also celebrate that my parents had the good sense NOT to call me Valerie, as intended, as I was a day late in being born! I also celebrate the day by thanking my late Dad for naming me Sheila.

Last year I made valentines mailboxes for my boys. I made each of them with their own theme and filled them full of goodies. I made some special valentines day cookies and we spent the evening together as a family.

Oh my goodness those goodies are amazing! For my ds's class in school, we make heart sugar cookies and then decorate them with valentine's treats. This year we are also helping out low income families in our community and so we'll bring them some valentine's cheer too.
