As Simon has been saying over and over, "I am so glad she's here."
We made the transition from hospital to home on Friday afternoon and spent the rest of the weekend just hanging out. Thank you so much for all the well-wishes and kind words. We are all really just so excited.
Lots of getting to know you moments. So far she is quite the little sleeper and quite the nurser - her two favorite activities. She is also really good at snuggling.
Simon is super protective of her. He makes sure to let me know that she needs help and gets very concerned when she appears to be in distress. Chris and I have had lots of "shared-look" moments as we watch Simon talk to her, tell her about whatever is on his mind at the moment, and show her his toys.
Keeping it very low key this week. Working on healing myself as I learn all about this sweet girl. Feeling really good overall (the meds definitely help this along) and taking things as easy as I can.

I love that Simon is totally rocking the Tigger garb in that first picture. Such a real life moment that will be so cool to look back on in 20 years!
And that cute cuddly little pink bundle...man, I know I've said I'd be good with a boy or girl but that picture makes me dream of a girl flavored baby come june :)

The picture of Simon & Anna is precious!! You can just tell how much he loves his little sister. That is awesome how he is helping and introducing her to all the things of his life. Hope you feel better & are able to enjoy Anna's first days to the fullest!!

Yes the meds DO help. I had a csection last year and my OB told me to overlap the pain meds (so they don't wear off and you're waiting for them to kick in.) Anyways, congrats! She's beautiful!
