As Simon has been saying over and over, "I am so glad she's here."
We made the transition from hospital to home on Friday afternoon and spent the rest of the weekend just hanging out. Thank you so much for all the well-wishes and kind words. We are all really just so excited.
Lots of getting to know you moments. So far she is quite the little sleeper and quite the nurser - her two favorite activities. She is also really good at snuggling.
Simon is super protective of her. He makes sure to let me know that she needs help and gets very concerned when she appears to be in distress. Chris and I have had lots of "shared-look" moments as we watch Simon talk to her, tell her about whatever is on his mind at the moment, and show her his toys.
Keeping it very low key this week. Working on healing myself as I learn all about this sweet girl. Feeling really good overall (the meds definitely help this along) and taking things as easy as I can.

Nothing more beautiful than seeing another person welcomed into the family. Amazing how adding the second child makes it feel like so much more of a family...hard to explain, but I know you're feeling it right now. Take care of yourself and glad to hear you're feeling well.
