As Simon has been saying over and over, "I am so glad she's here."
We made the transition from hospital to home on Friday afternoon and spent the rest of the weekend just hanging out. Thank you so much for all the well-wishes and kind words. We are all really just so excited.
Lots of getting to know you moments. So far she is quite the little sleeper and quite the nurser - her two favorite activities. She is also really good at snuggling.
Simon is super protective of her. He makes sure to let me know that she needs help and gets very concerned when she appears to be in distress. Chris and I have had lots of "shared-look" moments as we watch Simon talk to her, tell her about whatever is on his mind at the moment, and show her his toys.
Keeping it very low key this week. Working on healing myself as I learn all about this sweet girl. Feeling really good overall (the meds definitely help this along) and taking things as easy as I can.

So neat to hear about Simon-as-big-brother. So often older sibs' treatment of sisters or brothers is a reflection of how they have been parented. Another reminder of what good parents you are to Simon, and will be to Anna. Congratulations!

How lovely! I think everything couldn't have turned out any better. She's sweet and lovely, and Simon will make a fantastic older brother. She seems to take wonderful pictures too. I can't wait to see her eye color!

I just had a flashback to a telephone conversation we had years ago...simon was a little toddler, and kennedy as just becoming a teen.....now Simon is a big brother, and Kennedy is 19, and you my friend have a darling little girl to dote upon. Time sure does fly my friend!
