my son has autism too and was much younger than simon when our daughter was born. it wasn't an easy transition for any of us. but now that my Vince is 8 and Olivia is 5, they are the BEST of friends. in fact the other day when Vince's Behavioral Specialist came over to the house, Olivia asked me how come she didn't have a "specialist" too like Vince. so for the first time, i tried explaining autism to Olivia. when i was done, she asked me, "Well, how come I don't have autism like Vince? I want to have autism too!" it is so sweet seeing the strong sibling bond they have. i'm so excited for simon and anna to be the best of friends!

Again, here I sit crying as I read your post and read about your sweet family. She is so so sweet, as is Simon. At least today I'm reading at home as I cry, not at work. Hugs to all.
