I have a notebook with drawings and letters and such from when my son was younger ( preschool through about 4th grade ). I love looking back through them and remembering and crying of course. He's 23 now... and the doctors said he wouldn't live past 4. The memories are truely priceless. Make sure you keep this little letter. ms.cheryl
I have a box of these from each of my two children. I am planning a mini book to house them. One of my faves was of a small Columbine flower. My six y/o son put it on a sticky note with an arrow pointing to it. It read in 1st grade scrawl------> For you mom, love Jade. Oh how my heart melts when ever I look at the pictures I took of it. He's 15 now and can still melt my heart
(when he's not being 15!) I do know this, when you lose a parent, you wonder if you loved them enough and if you told them enough. My children will see that they did and that they showed it, and how much I cherished every little bit of it!
Simply beautiful. I can' throw any art away. I take pictures and scan and still have a hard time getting rid of anything. I see you know why. =) Thank you for sharing this with us.
Ok, so for the record, I have not recently had a baby and am not hormonal... and seeing that little sweet Simon-writing totally made my eyes leak! So if you cried, don't blame it on the hormones :)
