I've been reflecting a lot about our two miracles - our almost 8-year-old son is alive due to the gift of organ donation and our almost 2-year-old daughter is with us through adoption. Both are here because of the love and decisions of others. WOW! I'm so blessed and inspired by them and their stories of love.

I am always inspired with every J Crew catty that ends up in my mailbox! They put color combos together that I NEVER think will work.... but looking at the clothing and accessories.... I realize that they DO go well together! =)

Honestly, the economy. It's forcing me to take a simpler look at things. Helping me to realize that I don't need every latest doo-dad and I can make awesome things with what I have. Sometimes the news of the economy can be very depressing but it also causes us to be humbled, stop living in excess and appreciate a simpler live!

To be honest - you! I stumbled across your site and have become really interested in digital scrapbooking after looking around. I've never been able to get into the full swing of regular scrapbooking (something about all that glue, cutting, etc), and as a tech-savvy person, the digital version is much more appealing!

I have been inspired by the baby I'm about to have (in April). So it could probably also be called nesting - but inspiring sounds so much better:)

Itching for spring to arrive quickly, being here in Chicago, winter lasts longer than usual. I found a bright green cardigan the other day, and have worn it several times since just because of the color. Its so bright and cheery and new. All the things a new spring season brings.
Plus, a comment you wrote on your blog before the arrival of your daughter. 'I am looking forward to meeting myself in this new role'. This can apply to anyone who is going thru a life change, or just simply changing something about themselves for the better. The little amazing things that can happen that please yourself. I am inspired.

What inspires me lately?? Well that's a no brainer! My kids. My kids have been my constant inspiration for the last 3 and half years. They have inspired me to strive for more out of this life because I want to give them the best possible. I didn't grow up in the worst best situation (it wasn't all bad but it wasn't all that good) but I have been inspired by them to make the right choices, work on my marriage and to be there for them.To create a solid Foundation. To give them the best.

ps - I was looking at those necklaces the other day and was waiting for the extra $$ to present itself out of the budget and here they are!! Too funny!

Besides being inspired by you and your family, I am also being inspired by your friend, Brene Brown's blog and book.
Scrapbook-wise, I have been really inspired lately by my own photos. I have taken some really special ones and they have really motivated me to get to work. Embelishments, styles, fads are all really great and I love to jump on those bandwagons, but really good photos are the only thing that matters on a page!

With my students right now, we are reading Sharon Creech's "Love That Dog". It's a story, told completely in free verse poetry, about a boy who, well, loves his dog. I won't say more and ruin it, but it's a great read for any 4-8th grader. To go with this reading unit, we are writing A LOT of free verse poetry. Some of it's OK, some of it's pretty emotional, and some of it's....well, you decide.
My Poem of Eeee's By Korye

I like MEES

My inspiration today is to find the humor in the day, to not take my lessons and students so seriously, and to just enjoy life! Mees funny!

My boys continually inspire me! They are teenagers and supposed to be self-centered and nothing but trouble. Mine, however, are straight A students who study and do their homework with little or no complaint. They've also become very helpful around the house and after my recent surgery, have gone out of their way to make sure I'm comfortable and have everything I need. Luckily I have a husband who sets a good example - I am very blessed and that inspires me to be a better person!

Been really hard to be inspired lately. My entire family has been sick for the last month and we are all on meds to try to get well. I have barely out of the house in literally weeks. But I am starting a new scrapbook today. The sun is shining here and that is inspiring. The Bachelor is OVER and THAT is inspiring (ha ha). I'm grasping for Anything that could potentially be inspiring to help get me out of this funk. :) OK, enough whining.
