I have been working on prepping for baby, due on Easter. Not only have I been indulging in some nesting at home, but I am trying to wrap things up at work. Friday is my last day. I have been saying goodbye to my students and staff (I'm and SLP), prepping homework packets, cleaning out files, organizing my therapy materials, etc. I never thought I would nest at work too...

Thanks for the chance to enter, Ali! I've been working on a quilt bag for my SIL and something special for a friend who may be commenting here also so I can't say what it is but it's definitely handcrafted. :)

My MIL passed away on Jan. 20 after a sudden illness. She was into needlepoint, crocheting, knitting and primitive rug hooking as well as stripping the wool herself for the rugs. She was affectionately called a 'hooker and a stripper' (labels of that craft). Anyway, for years we would laugh each time she would start a new project or purchase a new kit. The joke would be when she passed away one day (who knew it would be so soon and so young), I would finish up all her projects she had in the works and in the drawers and closets at her home. True to my word, I am now a 'hooker' also. Haven't joined the ranks of 'stripper' just yet. I finished hooking a rug that I know she was working on for a friend and am in the process of figuring out how to finish and bind it. I am working on another rug and just repaired a hooked pillow she had made several years back - dog got ahold of it and my FIL asked me to repair it.
So, long story short. I am a 'hooker' working on primitive wool rug hooking right now. Oh, and catching up my girls school scrapbooks too. Thanks! CindyML

Lately I've been working on Becky Higgins' kit "Project 365." I love it! I tried to do a similar project last year, taking a picture a day, all year but couldn't keep it up. This kit makes it much more motivating and easy to keep up on.
