Since music always seems to connect us to a place and time, my favorites really depend on my mood and where I'm at in life. For years, my favorite was Summer of '69 by Bryan Adams. The last few years, though, I've had a hard time finding music I like because I'm so surrounded by the stuff my husband and kids listen to and have sort of forgotten to seek out my own. And when I think about it, this is an area where I've been lacking lately. Guess this is a good prompt to start doing that, eh?

I love Everlasting Love sang by Natalie Cole! It used to be the song that Eharmony played on their commercials. When I got married that is the song they played as we left the chapel. When I told my husband I wanted that song played he thought I was joking. I told him I really want that song and he was like HELLO! That is the eharmony song and don't you think it will be dorky if we play it since they matched us up? Not sure how I totally missed that but I did and still I had them play it. My niece heard it and said hey! That's the song they play on eharmony commercials and her mom told her that was how we met. To that she said, did they close out their personal ads? LOL. The words are awesome! OK, I've gone on long enough. have a great day!

I just completed my first mini-album with song lyrics that remind me to focus on how blessed I am, instead of focusing on the day to day problems. (I never would have made it without "Sharing Your Story," so thank you.) One of those songs is "Blessed" by Martina McBride. "I have been blessed/with so much more than I deserve/to be here with the ones that love me/to love them so much it hurts/I have been blessed."
