This question is completely inspired by the very cool site 50 People, 1 Question (thanks for the link Helen). Comments will be closed tonight at 8pm Pacfic with the winners posted shortly after.

I would wake up in a bed big enough for my husband and four kids in Pikeville, Kentucky, in an old farm house on the side of a mountain that's no longer standing. I would wake up to the smell of my grandmother cooking breakfast and the year would be about 1965. My grandmother passed away long before I was born but from the stories my dad told me over the years she was a wonderful woman full of wisdom that I would love to have known.

I would love to wake up in Kyoto. Headed out for a Japanese breakfast and a day of photography, tranquility, and a taste of history.
I love my life today, make no mistake but hey, a wish is a wish.

In a condo in Maui, with a window looking out on the beach, with my sweet hubby next to me and my kids sleeping in (for a change!) in the other room.

Disneyland. Flying is not my favourite thing to do, so if I could bypass that part of the trip, I'd be so much happier.

It's funny... there are lots and lots of places that I would love to visit, but I am so happy here... in our old farmhouse with my beloved children ~ all ten that are still here at home. So it would be fun to wake up in Ireland or on Prince Edward Island, or in Africa or Australia or New Zealand, or Antarctica.... but I *do* love my home and family!
Thanks for such a great give-away!

Oh, I LOVE Elle's Studio. Okay, if I could wake up anywhere..... Well, I have 2 answers to this one depending on the nature of the question. If it is meaning tomorrow you could wake up and be anywhere in the world, I think I'd choose Hawaii because my sister is dying for me to bring my 10 month old out to visit her, but the thought of traveling that far alone with a 10 month old is NOT appealing.
If the question is meaning, what would be my favorite place to wake up, I'd have to say snuggled up in my hubby's arms.

Because I'm longing for some "alone time" with my husband which is hard to come by with a 3 year old and 18 month old. I would love to wake up tomorrow ocean side hearing the waves and feeling the breeze coming in the window (a dream vacation that has not come true as of yet.) For now it would be just us to have some time together to reconnect as a couple. I'd be missing my kids but having that time to reconnect with my husband without "Mommmmmmmmyyyyyyyyy or Mamma" first thing would be a blessed thing.

We went to Rocky Point, Mexico one year for Christmas. That week also happened to be the first week my little one slept through the night every night. Waking up there was like waking up in paradise, particularly because it was paradise (we were right on the private beach, but also because I felt so well rested. The first thing I thought of was waking up there and how wonderful it felt that none of us had to rush off anywhere and we were relaxed and could look forward to spending the entire day together. I could do that every day!

If I could wake up anywhere, it would be in my hubs arms. I am not a cuddler when I sleep, I have to have my space at night.
