(I am in Sweden though, so I am not gonna try to win the spot at the Scrap Etc Event. Unfortunately - because I am sure it'd ROCK!)

hhmm...my frugal tip is DIGITAL BABY, all the way! I'm not spending anymore $$ on supplies that I haven't been using...I print my 12"x12" layouts for $2.99 at Costco and I'm able to spend more time with my hubby (our desks face each other) so he can write and I can digi-scrap at the same time... saving $$ + more time with hubby == priceless!

hmmm, frugal tip. i cut apart my flowers if part of it will be hidden under another element and save it for later use. I also layer my own flowers because the beautiful ones I covet can be so expensive!
No GA for me! Can't arrange for grandparents to come take care of the kids on that short of notice! It would be very cool though!

I have a cute picnic basket of sorts that I keep all my scrap paper from current LO or project in. It is my favorite place to pull paper from since the possiblities are endless. :0)

I have two frugal tips: cut out the background paper where the photo is going to be placed and use that paper elsewhere in the layout or on another layout. My second tip: use stamps more than stickers. Stamps can be reused, trade with friends if you get tired of them. Their cost per use (if you buy ones you really love) are much less than stickers.

Wow Ali! Your giveaways never cease to amaze me. You've got a wonderful collection of sponsors. Thanks as always for a chance to win.
Tip: AC Moore (a craft superstore) recently started a rewards program. You earn a point for every dollar you spend and double points for any purchase over $100. 200 points = a $10 savings coupon good on anything. And what's even better is that there's no limit on how many savings coupons you earn and spend!

My tip is to save every bit of paper you cut off - you never know when you could use something small or irregularly shaped! And it's less waste for the environment!! (and more $$ in your pocket!!)
Love the giveaways!! Except the conference - would love to go but live in Vancouver......
Keep up the good work!!

I'm sure someone has said this before me here... But the only tip I have is using the tags that come with the clothes I buy. Some companies make really nice tags you can use for layouts by (partly) covering them with paint, patterned paper, and so on. I also save the string or ribbon that comes with the tag.
I'm in Germany, so unfortunately I won't be able to come to Atlanta. But thanks anyway, Ali! :o)

Save your scraps and use them to make handmade cards. What I've been trying to do is use the scraps on my work surface and make a card before I put anything away.

I save greeting cards- especially Christmas cards. They usually have embellishments or letters that I can use somewhere else.

There are some great tips here! I wouldn't be able to go to Atlanta, but I'm excited for the lucky winner who can. That is awesome!
My tip is that if you can invest in a die cutting tool, it more than pays for itself by cutting your own letters and shapes. I only invest in the fonts that I know I will use over and over.

My frugal tip is to have a theme or design in mind for an album/page and then purchase based on that. All too often we just buy to buy and don't buy with a purpose and that can lead to a large "collection" of scrapping materials that don't really fit with your ideas or projects.
Arizona is mighty far away from Georgia--so I won't be able to make it, but what a wonderful giveaway!

wonderful giveaways again, ali! thank you and your sponsors!!
many scrapbooking tools and items (those ring fasteners for albums, binder clips, rolodex punch, etc.) can be found for much, much cheaper at an office supply store. i always think 'scrapping' when i'm at staples or office max.

I've been using all of the "recyclables" (old cards, etc.) to make new ones. Made all 250 of my Christmas cards with ones recycled from the previous year. Thanks for all of the giveaways!

How frugal am I? I cut glue dots and other adhesives like photo squares in two! ;) I keep scraps until absolutely nothing can be made out of them!

Here's a frugal tip: save all your patterned paper and make paper beads from them. Roll strips of paper around plastic straws, and then coat with clear nail polish. They make BEAUTIFUL beads and jewelry you can gift out for the holidays or use to decorate scrapbook pages or gift packages, bookmarks, etc.

My current idea is using 12x12 paper as efficiently as possible. I like a touch of color on my pages. I use a straight cutter and cut 5 inches, then 5 inches and I am left with a 2 inch strip. (make sure you are cutting your paper to emphasize any design on the paper you want to use) So I have a broad strip to use on 2 pages plus a narrow strip to use on a page or for another use (card, etc.) I also mix up letter stickers when I need a letter and don't have one. And I am going digital more and more. I don't do tons of embellishment but when I am on a roll I can get FANCY!
**no to Atlanta - would love it but parenting duty calls**and work!

Ali! I live in Atlanta- no flight/hotel needed! and would LOVE to be there at the Scrap Etc. event!!!!
My frugal tip- I never buy (anything, really! including scrapbooking supplies) without at least one of the following: coupons, clearance, $1 bins, big sale, gift with purchase, buy one get one, etc. I also save all my scraps- cardstock, patterned paper, fabric, ribbon, containers & boxes- they all come in to good use almost on a daily basis.
Thank you for the inspriation & giveaways!
