I always scan over what I have before going shopping, something I'm addicted to doing! I promise myself to use something I haven't even opened yet before I buy another thing!

My tip is to not squander your TIME. It is so easy to get sucked into organizing your supplies, ordering more supplies, researching more supplies, rather actually making the memories and scrapping them.
And don't include me in the giveaways. I've got enough supplies and my OB wouldn't like me jaunting off to Atlanta this late in the game.

Frugal Tip: When you think you need to hit the LSS, go shopping through your scraps and stash first, you might surprised what you find.

Would love to go the event but have to work :(
My tip..back up often. I save myself a lot of time if I back up photos on CDs more often than waiting until later.

My tip would be try using less expensive adhesive like glue sticks or a white glue. I found that the UHU glue sticks and Elmers Craft Bond works pretty good.

Sometimes I feel I am so frugal! I keep buttons off of clothing items, I recently reused a broken strand of cheap pearls as embellishments, I can make my own crackle paint using glue....it goes on and on. And then, just when I think I should get rid of something, a new technique comes out and I can still use it! If I decide I don't want something, I can usually put it in the folder for my grandchildren to use and it is new and beautiful to them!

I love to use items from around the house for stamping and texture. One of my favorites is packing materials like foam peanuts and tiny bubble wrap. Applying a little paint or ink and just having fun on paper. I also make my own embellishments with the smaller craft punches. Punching out starbursts and scalloped circles then adding a round piece of felt to the center and stitching a button in the middle. By mixing colors and textures I create my own unique embellishments to each page.
love you stuff Ali

Wow, I's so excited about the giveaways!
... a frugal tip? I like to save birthday invitations and re-use any embelishments that were used on them.

My frugal tip is to use everyday items & turn them into embellishments for your pages. Clothing tags, ticket stubs, children's artwork, pages from old books. There is so much that you can use.
I am in Atlanta & would love to go to Scrap Etc.

What yummy prizes and I don't live too far from Atlanta and would love to attend Scrap, Etc. :-)
My frugal tip is pretty simple. I try very hard to pages with 2 or more pictures. It saves money on the paper and embellishments. I use my extra paper pieces for cards and other pages.

I have two tips. One is to clean and organize. I found things I hadn't used in years in my scrapbook room clean up. I labeled all and really made a more flowing area. This helps me to use what I have. Also, I consciously make an effort not to buy anything. I just make a 30 day or 90 day resolution with myself not to buy anything new. I actually could go a year or more and not need to purchase anything. Use what you have!

What gorgeous antique looking papers and such!
My frugal side saves all my cardstock/patterned paper pieces to use for QK punching or for cards...I hate to throw any paper away!
Sorry to say I can't make the Atlanta trip. :( I think it would be pretty cool!

Frugal for me is not buying anything new unless I need it (like cardstock and adhesive) until I use up what I have....
And, going to the Scrap Etc event would not work for me...

I have been known to use all parts of packaging in various parts of layouts. I also save a lot of scraps and use them too.

I usually cut my pop dots in half so I get twice as much.

My tip would be when clearing out your stash use what you don't want to make gift albums for others. They normally love the thought and work and you don't have to spend a fortune on new stuff.

I use both the chipboard popout as well as the "negative" whenever possible. Sometimes I use the negative as a template and others as an embellishment.

Hi i stay in atlanta & would love to win a chance to goto Scrap Etc.
My tip is that i normally use 'found' items like paper bags, label tags, different ephemera & also cutouts from magazines a lot. I alter them with paint or inks & use them on my pages.
Thanks for the giveaway !
