I keep a basket of scrap paper to use for future projects- collages of paper to create a background, cards, smaller scrapbook pages, etc. Thanks for the fun giveaway!

I keep the cover of an old cricut mat and use it to position stickers and letters over a page. That way I am sure that they will fit, I don't wreck my layout or the embellishments that I am trying to use. Thanks for the giveaways.

My frugal tip would to join a Scrapbooking kit club. Purchasing a kit that is already coordinated with supplies you need for many layouts & other projects seems so much more frugal to me than purchasing random items that may not work together. Thanks for the great giveaways!!!

My frugal tip is to use your coupons whenever you can. Buy every week so you can get one item on 40% off every week. Also, you can use the back of cereal boxes for cutouts, tracing and as lighter chipboard.

I try to use those 40 per cent off coupons whenever possible. I, too, am a compulsive scrap saver. Love to use those little bits of unwanted patterned paper!

Frugal tip: Use rubber stamps for alphabet letters instead of stickers. You never run out of a certain letter!! You can also mix them in with stickers . . . like use a sticker for the first letter, and stamps for the rest. That's my only frugal tip (and unfortunately, it isn't all that frugal if you buy many different stamps!!!) :-)

I can save the most by scrapping digitally (tho I love the FEEL of traditional & often go hybrid). I already have my computer, software (I'm a graphic designer), & printer. There is so much cool free stuff to download. Additionally, I find it quicker to do a digital page or spread. I also haunt thrift stores & garage sales for 3-ring binders to reuse. I'd love to win anything, but especially the Paper Relics paper bundle. Can't do the Atlanta class, tho I'd love to! Thanks, Ali. And...I didn't get to comment the other day on your beautiful album for Anna Caroline. The look, the feel, & the approach. All so creative & beautiful.

What an amazing giveaway AGAIN! :) Thanks for the chance to win! My tip: I am very guilty of "collecting" scrapbooking supplies and NOT using them so instead of shopping and buying online I have been using the wish list feature and clicking on EVERYTHING that I LOVE. That way when I actually do have money to spend I can just go back and shop my wish list! It's been fun and almost as good as getting the actual product delivered to my door and saving me a bunch of money. When I use up some of my stash I will be shopping, but with more restraint!

Use your scraps to make cards. Don't you think the best cards homemade anyway?! I try to make a bunch at once and then they are ready to go should a need pop up.

my constant and continuous frugal idea is the color swatches from paint stores. a lot of companies are now producing larger samples than just the row of tiny inch square pieces, so that opens up their possiblities...
and the names given to most of these colors is entertaining if not a good prompt!

Frugal tips:
~Dollar Tree
~Make yourself kits. It does take some time, but gather together papers, stickers, embellishments, ect. that go together (either by brand or color or whatever) and go from there.
~Reminder: IT DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT SHADE OF TURQUOISE. I find myself constantly reminding myself of this. It saves time and money to just get a lot of one broad color than painstakingly picking out sheet by sheet of pretty much the same hue. It's the story that matters anyways.
~I buy big stacks of cardstock (DCWV). Some people don't really like it, but it wokrs for me. I can get a bunch of paper for $9 if I have a Jo's coupon.

Those Shabby Chic tags are so cute.
My frugal scraping tip is use what you have. I wasn't able to buy anything for 3 months and I used what I had and it was so nice to get things used up that i have been sitting on for so long.

Hi Ali,
A frugal tip I have is use what you already have...go through your stash and get creative. I am sure vendors would love us to keep buying and lordy lordy I do my part, but I am also making a concerted effort to use what I have and not buy, buy, buy.
I also think monthly kit clubs, like Cocoa Daisy are a very good buy, you get alot of product for much less than if you went out and purchased all of the items in the kit.
PS...please take me out of Scrap Etc, unfortunately cannot attend.

Awesome giveaways, specially because I've started dabbling in mixed media - those vintage collage papers are great!
TIP: I never buy anything full price. I either use a coupon or wait for it to go on sale, i.e. paper for 50% off at certain stores. If I order online, I usually place my order when I have enough to qualify for Free Shipping. For example, right after CHA, I wanted some stuff but not all of it was available at the same time, so I waited a couple of weeks and order everything I wanted in 1 order. Some stores will also let you pre-order the unavailable items and ship your order in partial shipments, without charging you extra shipping.
I would not be able to go to Atlanta :-(

My frugal tip is to cut up some of that old paper in your stash. I still like it, but I probably won't use it - I haven't in the last 5 years! But when I cut a few strips, punch a couple scallop circles, squares, whatever...It is amazing how the "old" becomes new again as accents or embellishments!

Stop buying the latest and the greatest unless you first have a specific need. I have seen so many people with the coolest stuff, but they have never even opened it up.
