Probably the easiest thing is inking edges for dimension. So much easier than cutting multiple mats which I did when I first started scrapping!

This is a great topic! I have been going digital to save money. I love your digital products Allie. I have been selling the items that I no longer use at on-line garage sale. It's been a great win-win.
I can not go to Scrap Etc., but someone is going to have a great time.

Could for sure do the Scrap Etc event...sounds awesome! My tip is that I use the white pages from the page protectors to put down when I stamp...especially good for stamping over.

I always save my scraps from cutting down 12 x 12 paper to 8½ x 11. (that is the size i scrap)
I fold them over for cute notecards or gift tags! :)

Most frugal of all tips. I am not buying anything new. I have enough supplies to last a lifetime.

My frugal tip- don't throw anything out!! I save everything and it's amazing how much those scraps come in handy. Plus it saves $$ to use what you have.

I store my small scraps of paper in a shoe box that I keep on my desk. Then when I need a small piece of paper to add another pattern or special interest, I just pull out a scrap. I have a really hard time throwing things away! Also, I am trying to start keeping a journal, so I plan to incorporate some of those scraps to make background collages on my journal pages (avoiding the intimidating blank page). This will also help me clear out my shoebox once in a while!

I use cereal boxes and the backs of used pads of paper as chipboard for my pages or mini-albums. Frugal and Green! :)

My frugal tip is to get a group of friends together who scrap. Everyone has something different to share. You don't always need to buy something you may use on just a few pages. My BFF has a slice, I have a cricut. We swap "susie" and "charlie" out for visits! This way you never get tired of the same old, same old!

Ooo - how to choose? I like to re-use packaging ... and I like to trace around chipboard letters to make my own paper ones and save the chipboard ... I like to cut the centers out of mats so I don't waste paper and use the scraps on cards and such ... and I like to incorporate less expensive elements so that each layout isn't too expensive.
That's it for off the top of my head :)

A very good friend once advised that you should try and make yourself use any new patterned paper within a month of purchase or not purchase any until you use it. I think this is a great tip as we all have large stashes of "favorite" paper that never seems to get used.

My thrifty tip is that after making a die-cut from paper, I go around the edges of the left over paper and do punches that I can use later.
I would definitely be able to attend the event so thanks for the chance!

My best tip is to keep a calendar handy and jot down everything you can - I don't usually journal as I finish a page so it is great to be able and go back to see what my thoughts were.
Alas, I can not attend the event as my 4 month old granddaughter from Spokane will be visiting me.

I like to use the cardboard backing in packaging as a paint background for when I paint embellishments, letters or canvases.

My frugal tip is using the computer. I love to print out my own titles, jrnl. tags, picture die-cuts, etc. It helps me add a little something matchy without buying things in every color.

After finishing a layout, I like to cut my scrap paper down to useable pieces for another project. For me, I think the paper takes up less storage this way and it stays nice so I can definitely use it again.
