My frugal tip is shop from your stash first! Before you go to the scrapbook store for that next project, see if you already have something that will work. I usually do. And I'd LOVE to go to Atlanta! Pretty easy travel from Philadelphia.

Use all those scraps that you save! I can't tell you the amount of full sheets of paper I have saved by digging into my scraps.

One way I try to make my paper "go" further is to use a craft knife behind my layers of pp, and cut rectangles out from the spaces that aren't able to be viewed.
***I'm VERY MUCH within driving distance of the Event, and would LOVE to attend! ;)

What a great giveaway today, Ali!! Such wonderful goodies!!
My frugal scrapbooking tip is: I save all kinds of packaging that other products come in. My fav right now is the packaging from the Asian Healthy Choice Steamers meals. The inside is a terrific pattern that I will just HAVE to use is on some cards or pages. :)
I am only 3 hours away from Atlanta so I can very easily get there. :)
Thanks!!
Hugs, Nanette :)

You always have the best giveaways!!! I like to use sand paper (which is cheap!) on my photos. This adds so much texture and is a great way to make something look different and fun. I also look at goodwill for stuff to use as embellishments! Fun stuff!

I like to scrap digitally. So when I buy digital supplies I rarely buy paper or full kits because with a efw good brushes and a basic colored background, you can make your own unique paper.
about 50/50 right now on Atlanta...I could make it work if I won, but at the cost of a hubby who would rather be on a mini cruise end of May...that would be a test of love for a dude married to a scrapbooker. lol

My frugal tip is recycle the gorgeous packages of your scrapstuff. For example: use it as a journal, a 3D photo frame, as decorations. Try to see it from a different point a vieuw.

My frugal tip is to repurpose things. Why throw out that beautiful ribbon on your birthday present? Why not cut up cool patterned department store bags? So fun!

Probably the only frugal tip I use on a consistant basis is trying to use the package that scrapbook embellishments come in. They either have great printed backgrounds that great for tags or the back of the package will have outlines of what's inside. Sometimes I just cut the shapes out. It's like getting 2 of the same embellishment for the price of one.
I am within driving distance of Atlanta! Would love to attend Scrap Etc!!!

I keep a little notepad in my bag to record any lay-out design or journal idea that comes to mind throughout the busy times of the day. I used to think "oh, I'll remember that" or "that'd make a great lay-out", only to be disappointed when I couldn't remember perfectly what I wanted to convey. This really helps!
Great give-aways...thanks!

For the most part, I try to create my own embellishments rather than purchase them. There are so many creative ideas in magazines, on blogs, etc. I really appreciated Tip 1 from your March CK article about not worrying so much about perfection and using old products, etc.
I would probably not be able to make it to Atlanta. :(

I try and reuse anything I can. Old mail, interesting packages, things like that. and of course... my forty percent off michaels coupon. that always comes in handy!

When going through my scrapbook magazines, I photocopy the pages I like, then organize those into a three ring binder so I can easily be inspired instead of flipping through a huge stack of magazines. I have an entire three ring binder of stuff I love!!

My tips would be Use all your scraps, look for other forms of paper (i.e. interiors of junk mail/banking envelopes that have interesting patterns) to use as accents, and i have hardly ever bought a button...i end up using what has come with clothes I bought! I would love to go to Atlanta.

awesome giveaways (as always!!) frugal tip: using old books as "albums" by gluing other paper in and /or painting the page and pasting pictures in them...adding journaling and other fun stuff on top... 10 cents per album...can't beat it!

Thanks for entering me.
One of my favorite frugal tips is to look for ribbons, ric rac, and buttons at the thrift store. I find lots of vintage trims for .25 or so.

Love all these vintage goodies! My tip is COUPONS! COUPONS! COUPONS! I try not to always just buy everything I want right now but wait until I have a coupon. My local scrapbook store even takes coupons from other stores! A lot of stores will let you get on a mailing list and send you coupons. Or they are also found in the paper and sometimes in my junk snail mail!

Awesome giveaways, thanks!! My best frugal tip is to shop in your stash before going to the store. Most of us have more than enough and probably have things that we didn't remember we had.

Hi Ali!
I could swing the Scrapbooks Etc. Event.
But I would also be thrilled with any of the other things too.
My favorite frugal tip is to use found objects.
I am always saving the acetate packaging from toys to die cut my own shapes.
I also shop thrift stores for vintage trims and buttons.

If I don't have time to scrapbook I at least am sure to write the memories down to it. That way when I do scrap I still remember details.
I would love to win. But I cannot go on the trip.
Thanks
