Hey Ali---Lately I have been incorporating the packaging on some of my stickers and rub-ons on the actual layout....most of the time the packaging matches the embellishments and they make perfect jounaling blocks or photo mats, I especially love making memories and imaginesce. Thanks, Lisa

How about, when you don't seem to have time to scrap anymore, you can still get your scrapping fix by reading Ali Edwards' blog? :) Tfs.

I love using items I already have to embellish my pages. I scarp my Christmas cards every year, especially saving the photo-cards. I use the non-photo cards to embellish the pages. You can use a precious angel or silly dog with antlers most anywhere. And best yet, I can watch the children and families grow.
I don't live in ATL but my BFF is there, what a perfect mothers day present for us!

I invested in a cheap file folder tote... I colored each tab a different color and I place leftover paper (no matter how small the piece) in the different folders according to colors... That way, when I only need a small piece, I only search the right color folder instead of rooting through a whole box of scrap paper (and ruining the edges by shuffling them around!).
Don't include me in the scrapbooking expo... too far!

I think would have to be go shopping in your own space, I have a bit of stuff and somedays I'll just start searching, it's amazing what you can find. Things that I've forgotten about and love. They are new all over and beats spending money at the store(even though that's fun too) I've loved reading some of the other ideas this is great. Thanks Ali.
And yes I could do the scrap etc. event too. Thanks for a chance to win.

I use the $1 rule. If I can't use something at least once for every dollar that is spent to purchase it, I don't buy it. This keeps me from buying the "absolutely perfect" embellishment that comes in a package of 4 and costs $6. :)

I pull buttons, cuffs, belts and other odds & ends from my kids, DH, and my own clothes to use in my scrapbooks. I also use old candle jars to hold my trinkets. I also take the old sales promotional kits from work and cover them to use them as bases for chipboard projects. Gotta love anything that is free. I would love to get to Atlanta again. Thanks for all the great give aways. Laura D.

My frugal tip is to stay organized. I have all my scraps organized. The cardstock is sorted by color in drawers and the pattern paper is sorted by style (based on your PP book) in drawers. The scraps of PP are kept in a pouch within the drawers. When I need a small piece of something it is easy to see what I have and to get my hands on it. I make very good use of my paper and I don't feel like I've got more than I will ever use.

reusing digi supplies is great. You can buy one paper pack and change the colors over and over. Love that!

I'm sure a lot of people do this, but I am also a "shop your stash" advocate. I shopped a lot more when I was employed. Now that I'm a stay-at-home mom, I've found all kinds of usable treasures going through supplies I already have!

My frugal scrapbooking idea is to buy letter stamps- I found I was buying so many alphabets and still always running out of the same letters over and over. The cost is more high up front but after 5 uses they seem to have paid for themselves. Oh and use your scraps!

Wow, what great giveaways!!! I could definitely make the Scrap Etc event! They are in the same town that I live in. Love their store and they always have fabulous events.
One frugal tip that I have is to save your cardstock scraps. I have hanging folders and in each folder I put a color and throw all my scraps in the right colored folder. It really easy just to throw them in there by color. I can't tell you the number of times that I would have had to cut up another piece of cardstock if I threw all my scraps away. I just reach over grab the right color folder and always have just what I need.

I live within driving distance of the Scrap ETC event. Thanks for the giveaway! I would love to go
Frugal tip: To use up scraps that I have left, I cut them into even strips and use them like ribbon.

Frugal tip - use stamps and create lots of different versions of the same stamp - use digital and can re-use what you have over and over and over!
Also, another tip - enjoy the process of scrapbooking rather than get so crazy about how it should look!
Love your work Ali, and love to get inspired by your work and other's work - and love this hobby!

My scrap papers are all organized in file folders in a hanging file at the edge of my desk. When I need a small piece (anything less than 8 X 11) of any color, I look in the files first and often don't have to cut a brand new piece of 12 X 12 paper.
Sad to say - I can't go to Georgia so I would pass on that prize.

This isn't a very original idea, but I do save any scraps big enough to punch a shape. I just throw them in a drawer and hunt through when I need a bit of color or pattern for a page.

My niece loves to glue things and color. Rather than buying construction paper for her. I save the scraps of paper I would normally throw away and keep them in her little box for when she comes over. It is small, but it is recycling and saving money on art supplies.
