Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

Ok, besides the "Twilight" series, anything by Jodi Piccoult, as well as "The Book Thief" - an extraordinary book which takes place during the Holocaust. You won't want it to end!
Thanks for the opportunity to win something cool!

I really enjoyed the Twilight Saga - it had been a long time since I was able to read a book start to finish - and I read all 4 - my dt work fell behind but it was worth it!

Hmm.... I have been reading lots of Dr. Suess lately, but something more adult.. I think I could use a couple good recommendations, I have always like the Patricia Cornwell (sp?) books, but I like CSI type of stuff.

I'm a mom and a teacher. So favorite story right now is "oh the places you will go" by Dr. Seuss. It has so much to offer if you read it as an adult and think about life and what is ahead of you. Try it!

My favorite book is probably East of Eden by John Steinbeck and I love legal mysteries - topping that list would be Presumed Innocent (Turrow) and A Time to Kill (Grisham). I just love to read.

Wow I have to pick just ONE favorite book? I have so many. I love to read. But if I had to chose just one out of the most recent books I've read, I'd have to say Marley and Me. Mostly because I related to it so much. I had a cat, Zeke, he was my baby boy. Two months before the birth of my son, Zeke was diagnosed with cancer. One month after my son's birth we struggled with the decision but had to put him to sleep. A year later my mom gave me this book. It was a comfort and has helped me heal. I recommend it for any animal lover.

Favorite book: For myself, right now it would be "The Shack"
Favorite book I LOVED reading to my boys when they were younger: Dr. Seuss "Are You My Mother?" My boys just LOVED that book. I still have the original one they received as a gift, in all its tattered glory.

One of my all-time favorite books is "Where the Heart Is" by Billie Letts. It just speaks so well to giving unconditionally when you feel like you have nothing left to give.

You would think that this question would be an easy one to answer for an avid reader, but it is one of the hardest. Over the past 10 years, I've read almost 1,000 books. I set a goal each year. It began with 50 and slowly grew to 100. Each year, I've either met it or come very close. There are two books that I could read over and over again - To Kill A Mockingbird by Harber Lee and Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell. I first encountered Mockingbird in literature class in high school and was so moved by it that I've continued to read it over and over. Gone with the Wind is my summer read EVERY year. I've done that for the past 7 years. Each time I read both books, I discover something new and amazing that I didn't notice before.

Hmmmm, I used to be a big reader but I confess I don't much anymore. So I will go with my favorite book as a child--Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs--which I just found out they are going to ruin by making a CGI movie out of it. Ick.

The Mysterious Adventures of Edward Tulane... by Kate DiCamillo. I just read this to my 3 year old daughter - immediately after we finished the Tale of Despereaux - also by Kate. The language and the way she writes to the child.. is intriguing. I could not wait for each chapter to begin. LOVE this.

I love Cesar Milan's "Be the Pack Leader". As a first time dog owner, I wanted to do everything right. While Rowdy, my 11 month old mutt, is not perfect, he has learned "rules, boundaries and limitations" and he gets so much exercise! I started reading this one again very soon after I finished it.
