Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

My favorite book is Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer. It's beautiful. He's an amazing young artist.

Ahhhh, this is a very tough question to answer. I have so many favorite books. I love to read and probably read too much. I would have to say that my all time favorite classic novel is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. My most recent favorite read was The Shack by William P. Young. It is a story that will make you laugh, cry and re-evaluate life all. It was a great book.

If you like fantasy novels, you should try out the Drizzt series by R.A. Salvatore. I love them!

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon is one of my faves. And if you like something a little racier (or a little more paranormal!), Dark Lover by J.R. Ward.

I have to put in my vote for The Road by Cormac McCarthy. It's truly a heartwrenching story, and one I could probably never read a second time, but I'm glad I did read it and it will always be in my personal library.

One of my all-time favorites is "Peace Like a River." It's excellent. I was hooked with the first paragraph.

I recently read Dracula by Bram Stoker and was amazed at how quickly it became scary and mysterious. I'm not usually drawn to vampire stories, but this groundbreaking tale is worth a read or re-read.
Of course, I should say that my favorite novel is Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.

Whatever book I'm reading at the time is my favorite. I'm such a book fanatic. BUT, I have to second, third, fourth, etc. the Outlander series. It's been a long time since a series just captivated me the way that it has...I can't get enough of it!

How about A Designer's Eye - scrapbooking with patterned paper (shameless sucking up!). Actually, it is Gone With the Wind, there is so much more to the story than in the movie. Have a great day!

OK - I have to admit that I am currently reading the Twilight Series with my daughter. We had heard so much about it that we decided we needed to see what all of the hype was about. Actually very good so far and I am spending lots of time with my daughter reading. Priceless!

My favourite book and the one that often comes travelling with me so I know I'll have at least one I love is Sword at Sunset by Rosemary Sutcliff, a retelling of the Arthurian legends as a Romano-British war lord fighting to keep the Saxons out of England, beautiful and exciting and sad.
And since I've just started buying picture books for the baby I'm having this summer I'd also recommend Lucy and Tom's Christmas by shirley Hughes - and indeed anything else with her charming illustrations, if you haven't read them you're missing out.
