Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

Thanks for the GREAT giveaways this week! I would actually love them all! (I might just buy that digi kit) I enjoyed the Twilight series just like all the other ladies out there, but I think I loved the Harry Potter ones even more. One book I've read a couple of times and intend on reading again this summer is Wizard of Oz.
On my nightstand now is the Circle Trilogy by Ted Dekker. Pretty good!

As old as it is, I still absolutely adore Wuthering Heights. It's so wonderful how it conveys such a timeless love story. It's so wonderfully written and heartfelt, and I have not read it one time that I have not cried at least one tear. With Hollywood remaking so many older movies, I'm hoping that a remake of Wuthering Heights is also on the horizon!!

The best book I have read in a long time is My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. If you haven't read it, I would definitely recommend it!

the favourite book questions are always so tricky for me to answer - i loooove the narnia series, the windsinger trilogy by william nicholson and the discworld series by terry pratchett. as far as individual books go, the sparrow by mary doria russell is incredibly powerful, and recently i read so you don't want to go to church anymore (jake colsen) which crammed about four years worth of spiritual growth into four evenings of sitting on the couch with a book.

I am a big Karen Kingsbury fan, but I have to say the best thing I've read recently is The Shack. The most unique and thought-provoking book I've read in a long time.

I think my favorite is Harry Potter. I just love it so much.
I really want to read Twilight and I'm sure the all four will become my favorites too (too! Not instead of Harry! :) ). And in my reading list I have The Lord of the Rings too... But it's so long and I'm afraid the "project" of reading them is... too much big for me... Oh, this moment I made a decision - I WILL try! I have to! They are too wonderful to give up because they are long!
Thank you for making me make this important decision! :)

My favorite all time story is that of author Rosamunde Pilcher called "The Shell Seekers". Beautifully told the story of a young girl with unconventional parents. An artist father who painted during W.W. II. The detail and the unusual life of this woman moved me. I still love
to recommend this to anyone who never got the chance to read it in the 80's. A favorite of mine.
thanks for all your inspiration Ali.
Sincerely Monica Maglione

I'm not a big reader. But my daughter recently brought home the twilight dvd and we watched it. She told me I had to read the book. So I am. And within a weeks time I am already on the third book. Very Good!

Gosh...I stay so busy, I don't read as much as I used to, but I have a pile on my night stand. Three books in the pile are Nicholas Sparks' "Notebook," and "I Before E Except After C: Old school ways to Remember Stuff" by Judy Parkinson, and "52 Scrapbook Challenges" by Elsie Flannigan.
I just LOVE the look of those camera straps! So cool!

My favorite book so far is "My Sister's Keeper" by Jodi Picoult. Actually, it's the one that got me hooked on her books to begin with.

Right now I am reading "What color is your Parachute", this book is for people looking for a job after layoffs or people who are changing careers. I wish mine were the later reason.
For fun books to read I recommend the Twilight Series. I loved all of them and can't wait for the next movie.

Since our book club got started about a year and a half ago, we have read SO many good books! Right now, my favorite is what we just got done reading - Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. It is a retelling of the book of Hosea. Awesome read - and such a good reminder of God's love for us!

The English American by Alison Larkin.
It is light fiction touching on adoption issues - and being adopted myself it was WONDERFUL seeing/reading that all the thoughts and feelings I have are not just MINE - that I am not alone.
A great read regardless, but a must if you have anyone in your life who had adopted or was adopted.
