Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

Reading this list has given me some great book recommendations! Thanks! At the moment I really enjoy The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. I of course was also obsessed with the Twilight series, but that was just a phase ;). Great ideas for future reads from this question!!

My book collection includes a lot of historical fiction...especially by Phillipa Gregory. I just finished "The Boleyn Inheritance." It was fantastic!

One book I enjoyed recently was Jodi Picoult's The Pact. It's about a teenage suicide pact (not the happiest of subjects I know), but as a high school teacher, I found the charaters and the story line to be riveting.

My latest favorite is Annie Freeman's Fabulous Traveling Funeral by Kris Radish. It is a great story of women celebrating their friend's life and learning more about their own in the process. Love her books, they all have great titles:Dancing Naked at the Edge of Dawn, The Sunday List of Dreams, and another favorite Searching for Paradise in Parker PA.

Oooh, books! I think "Rebecca" is my "older favorite" and "The Time Traveler's Wife" is my "new favorite". I could list about 100 of my "Top Books", though!

An excellent book I've read recently is "Infidel" by Ayan Hirsi Ali - this is a memoir written by a woman who has led the most incredible life, and she's only a couple of years older than me (37)!! Amazing to have led a life like hers.

I know they aren't literary masterpieces, but the Twilight series is at the top of my list right now.

Too many favorites to pick just one. I just finished Loving Frank by Nancy Horan. It is the story of the turn-of-the century love affair between Frank Lloyd Wright and Mamah Borthwick Cheney. It is a well researched and well written piece of historical fiction that examines early feminism and idealized love vs. love of family.

Love Walked In by Marisa de los Santos. I love that book!! The chapter points of view alternate between the two main characters, one a woman and the other a pre-teen. I would highly recommend and it is an easy read too =)

I don't read a lot of books but magazines, and creative Memories is my favorite. I can always go back and get ideas for my projects and scrapbooking, always with a twist to personalize it.

I keep on my bookcase 'You can be happy no matter what' by Robert Carlson. I AM a very happy person but this book is a gentle reminder that teaches us to look at things differently - not beat ourselves up over the small things and to accept the here and now.

I read the"The Shack" by William Young about six months ago, (going to read again) there is a lot of messages in this book. Not to sound sappy but I had a real sense of peace when I finished the book. It is a great book for book clubs. I just finished "The Lady Elizabeth" by Alison Weir a good fast read about Elizabeth I early years it is fiction based on historical facts.
