Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

These are all beautiful!
I am currently enjoying "Breaskfast of Champions" by Kurt Vonnegut. He's so darkly funny I find myself snickering on the bus and semi-conciously trying to hide all the gooofy drawings. He's also an excellent writer, he presents life as it is sometimes, good, bad and definitely ugly.

The books I read right now are mainly for kids. My 6-month old actually really loves to sit and read books with me! I recommend "The Christmas Tapestry" by Patricia Polacco as a must-have in everyone's holiday collection!

My favorite book (at the moment) is Eleven Minutes by Paulo Coelho. All of his books are fantastic and have golden nuggets that I tend to quote over and over again.

In the motivating category to make your artistic side smile....Pick up the Somerset Apprentice magazine that is really more of a book and you'll want to try each step by step project. Trust me....it's will have you creating the art you've been admiring. Just picked it up and have been telling everyone about this great find.

right now I am reading a wonderful love story - The Time Traveler's Wife -- it's one of those books you can't stand to put down, but at the same time don't want it to be over!

Hmm, I haven't been able to read too much lately...but the one I've been reading on and off the most has been The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova.
It's a more modern retelling of the Dracula story...but goes into a LOT of history. So far I'm loving it (but I'm a little biased, lol - I've always been a little fascinated by vampire stories)

I don't really have a favorite book, but I do have some favorite authors. I'm currently reading ABOUT FACE, the new one from Donna Leon. And I'm looking forward to my brand new Harlen Coben that arrived yesterday. I have been focused on Laura Lippmann lately. Robert Crais, Michael Connelly and James Lee Burke all turn me on. I'll read anything by Clive Cussler, James Patterson and Jeffery Deaver. I guess I'm an equal-opportunity reader!

Last year I picked up Willa Cather (inspired by a post in which you mentioned My Antonia) after not touching anything she had written since high school. I read and was absolutely enchanted with O Pioneers!

I don't think I can pick one book. I have been a reading nut lately, can't put the books down. I am into Brad Thor right now he writes current event Secret Service Agent spy thrillers. Intense and action packed. I also love the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich, nothing like LOL during a good book. My escape from real life!

Currently not reading fiction. Too busy with my bible study. My most recent favorite read would be The Whistling Season, by Ivan Doig. It starts a little slow but is a great story about rural life in Montana.
