Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

For the last few months few months I have been reading and re-reading the Twilight series (kind of embarrassing, but true!). However, my all time favorite book is The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks.
Great giveaways. Thanks!

My favorite books have always been CS Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia. Still a great read, even as an adult.

The Twilight series was good. Then I reread the last two Harry Potter books. That was fun reading those again. I got some things I missed the first time cause I was reading em so fast to get to the end! ;D I just finished 1st to Die by James Patterson. Gonna read the next one in the Women's Murder Club series by him. It had several twists. Loved it! Jodi Picoult is always a good one to read too!

The best book I've read in a long time is a memoir called "The Middle Place" by Kelly Corrigan. It's about being an adult with kids of your own, but still having living parents and being in that middle place between a child and an adult. It's awesome, I laughed and cried. Thanks for the giveaway!

I was out with some girlfriends at the weekend. They began to speak about books they were currently reading, etc and I suddenly thought - when did I last read a book? Sure, I look at lots of books, especially since I took up papercrafting, but I haven't read a novel in ages...literally, it could be over a year. This is shocking as I was an avid reader BC - Before Children. Now I'm too tired when I go to bed and don't prioritise reading the rest of the time. I tend to chose books I can dip in and out of....or leave for a long time. But now Ali you have given us a list of probably hundreds of books recommended by like minded ladies and a good place for me to start back. Thanks!
I can recommend the last book I read with my daughter - Pippi Longstocking by Astrid Lindgren especially a new version illustrated by Lauren Child which is pretty cool...and a nice 'looking' book too.

Um yeah. I'm probably too old too! ;D You are correct about the series...if you can get through book 2 it is worth it! I didn't like the second book but I heard it was worth it to push thru...it was.

One of my favorite books is a children's book-Because of Winn Dixie. It was the first big chapter book I read to my children a little each night. By the end my oldest who was in first grade was so excited to read a chapter book on his own. It really made him excited to read well!

I am reading education books right now and my favorite one is Results Now by Michael Schmoker. Our administrators have read it and I started an online discussion forum where we can continue to discuss books we have read. I also have a Shelfari which is a great way to organize books that you have read and have discussions about them.
Here is my shelf

With work and life I don't find as much time as I used to to read. Currently I am reading a Mary Higgins Clark book (the name escapes me) that has me intrigued and I really need to find time to finish it because I have a hard time putting it down when I do get a chance to read and I know I can end up staying up all night to finish it!
