Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

I don't really have a favorite book. I think each book gives you something different to walk away with. Right now I'm ready "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle. I'm hoping to walk away with a better understanding of how to live life more consciously.

It's so hard to choose just one book! So that is why I will give you two :) First, I would recommend the children's book "Someday" by Alison McGhee for you and Anna. Its a sweet little book about mother-daughter relationships...try to get through it without crying. Second, I would recommend the novel "A Complicated Kindness" by Miriam Toews, a Canadian writer. An emotionally complex read. Enjoy!

That is so hard to name one favorite book--usually the one I am currently reading is my favorite. So in thata vein, I am presently reading "All That Matters," by Stef Ann Holm.

To pick one book is hard as I am a voracious reader and have many favorites. I would recommend "Water for Elephants" by Sara Gruen. It is a most fascinating story. I enjoyed every word of it!

One of my favorite novels is "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger. It's been adapted for film, and I think the movie will be out this year.
A non-fiction book I read recently is "On Rue Tatin: Living and Cooking in a French Town" by Susan Hermann Loomis. I've read several books about people moving and settling in new countries, but this one was a very good read. It wasn't just about creating a new home but also forging new relationships with the locals.

A book especially for people who tend to be a perfecionist (like me LOL), with all these assignments in it like "scratch this page with something sharp" or "spill your coffee on this page" allll in the process of letting go :) and to spark your creativity
