Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

i have recently been introduced to Orbiting the Giant Hairball, and as an artist working in an office environment, it has been a great help to me-so right now it's in my top 5 for sure.

I could not possibly pick a favorite. I've always been an avid reader, even has a child.I just love books. That being said, I am really enjoying the one I'm reading now - The Soul of Money. It talks about our relationship with money, how it shapes us and shares how much more fulfilling it is to share your resources to positively impact the world instead of constantly racing to get more. Not a bad lesson to learn in this time of economic upheaval.

(I hope I don't get in trouble for listing more than one, but I just couldn't resist!)
I read every chance I get, but with three kiddos I don't get to as often as I'd like.
Favorites:
Classic - Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte - I've read
this one several times
New - The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell - different,
but different can be good
Kids - Boys: Ordinary Boy by William Boniface - My 7
year old LOVES this series
Girls: Hope Was Here by Joan Bauer - I enjoyed
this one also
Little Ones: The Big Hungry Bear by Don and
Audrey Woods - we wore this
one OUT!
Thanks for asking this question. I'm always on the
lookout for new books to read. I'm definitely going to be writing down some of the books that others have mentioned.

I need a colorful strap to brighten my rainy day here in Va.! I recommend reading Crazy,Sexy. Cancer tips. It's the first book I read when I was dx with colon cancer...at age 32! yes, too young for this disease. Kris Carr's cancer story is inspiring! and it's amazing to me how she is "stablizing" her incurable tumors with the way she eats...all going back to the basics! She has other books out too and another one on the way!

My favorite book is Bird by Bird (Instructions on writing and life) by Anne Lammott! I don't write professionally, but it's really helped me write through college and today I use the same foundations for scrapping.

I just finished reading Souls of Steel by Pat Williams (he's the CEO of the Orlando Magic Basketball team.) It's about how to build strong character in your kids. I didn't think I would like it because it had sports illustrations in it, but I was wrong. The illustrations were easily understood and really drove home his points. The other good thing about this book is that the paragraphs are written in smaller chunks so that even if you only have a few minutes to read, you can read a complete section.

I would have to say it is a toss-up between the Lord of the Rings by Tolkien and The Stand by Stephen King. I really loved both of these books, and can read them again, and again.

As for me, would be Cecelia Ahern's "P.S. I love you". It really touch my heart. And my current favourite, the Little Black Dress series
