Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

Like many of you, read The Shack last year and loved it, will read it again and probably again!
So far as a recommendation: one Lenten season I read The Murder of Jesus by John MacArthur and it was an Easter I'll never forget!

Not very highbrow, but I have just finished "The Amazing Advenures of Diet Girl". Very funny and fitting as I have just lost 50 pounds on weight watchers myself!

I'm in the middle of re-reading "This Present Darkness" and "Piercing the Darkness" by Frank Peretti. Very good reads.
And then there's the Velveteen Rabbit. Classic.

I can't choose just one of Karen Kingsbury's books because I have not read one yet that I haven't loved. So I would have to say all of Karen Kingsbury's books are my favorite. If you have never read any of her books I highly recommend them.

I'm currently reading "Julie and Julia" very funny and an easy read, when you just want to relax and smile. It's being released as a movie later this year. I figured I would read the book first.

I love to read books that I don't have to think too much about...so a good love story is great. Anything by Nicholas Sparks, I really like and his books are fast reads...I get sucked in and can't put them down. One my all time favorites of his the Notebook.

My favorite adult book, thus far, is The Great Gatsby, but my favorite children's books (I'm a teacher and a mom! :))Are:
Bear Snores On (so repetitive that the kids can help and really get into the story, also has a good rhythm, that babies like to listen to! :))
The Lorax (an environmental message, plus the rhyme of Dr. Suess)
The Gardener
The Library (both by Sarah Stewart and illustrated by David Small who wrote Imogene's Antlers, great character/story development! :))

I am completely hooked on the Twilight series. I am just starting the final one, Breaking Dawn. I am usually a nonfiction kind of girl but this series just flows so nicely.

A book thatis a favorite of mine is "A Long Way Gone" by Ishmael Beah. It's very disturbing at some points but its a true story of survival. It's very inspiring! I also enjoyed the book "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert...Have a great day!
