Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

I have so many favorites, for many different reasons. So instead I'm just going to say my most recent favorite is Fieldwork. It's so well written, and wraps you right up into the lives of the characters.

My all time favorite book is The Fifth Sacred Thing by Starhawk-as one of the reviews states, "Provocative and magical, political and spiritual...an extraordinary book that stands in the great tradition of political and philosophical novels," -Margot Adler
The book I have is worn and tattered from me reading it so many times! It's an amazing read!!!

As usual, a ton of wonderful giveaways! My all time favorite book that I can read and re-read anytime, anywhere is Sense and Sensibility. I love most all of Jane Austen's books, but this is my fave!

My new love is Katherine Center's Everyone is Beautiful. I adore that it's a love story for "oldlyweds" ... those of us who have been married for a while and have found ourselves being pulled in different directions by kids and jobs and thoughts of what we thought life would be like.

The Last Lecture. I read it 1-1/2 months before my husband was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive form of Lymphoma. I felt very fortunate to have read it prior to finding out. We too have three young children and it gave us so much perspective. Typically patients are given 6 - 24 months. Fortunately they caught it very very early and I am glad to say he is in full remission. Without that book, I'm not sure we would have gotten through it as well as we did. A must read!!

Here are my favorites: Secret Life of Bees, Gold Coast (or anything else by Nelson DeMille), Prince of Tides (love Pat Conroy), Odd Thomas (love Dean Koontz), A Voice in the Wind (Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers, fabulous!), The Other Boleyn Sister ( great historical fiction by Phillipa Gregory). In nonfiction, I highly recommend A Designers Eye for Scrapbooking by Ali Edwards! Ok, I'll stop now!
