Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

I don't know if I actually entered before but for the love of the strap I will say that if you are a homeschooling mother and of the classical education bent of mind then a wonderful book to check out is The Well Trained Mind by Susan Wise Bauer and Jessie Wise. It is an excellent guide to planning and executing homeschooling in the classical education style.
thanks for the opportunity

Don't know if it is my absolute favorite but one that has stuck with me & that has made me so grateful for all that has & is stable in my life is the Glass Castle. It is the authors memoir.

One great book for easy reading: "Labyrinth" by Kate Mosse. Two stories unfold in parallel in Southern France, one during middle age and the other nowadays.
Really cool.

As I'm home sick for the 5th day in a row, I just finished Kristin Hannah's "Firefly Lane" about 2 young girls that form a friendship and thier life journey over the next 30+ years. Well written and a thought provoking look at the power of friendship.

It's awful I know. ..but I'm really loving the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyers. I've finished the first two books nearly 4 months ago. . .and have had trouble getting interested in the 3rd book. But 100 pages in. . .I think I'm hooked on this one too!

Lovely giveaway! It's a well-known classic, but one I would recommend is Persuasion by Jane Austen. Perfection!

I think my favorite book has become The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. I've read it at least 6 times and I can't get enough. His "World Without End" is also great and I plan to read that again this year!

Unfortunately I don't get around to read much nowadays, but I did read a great book recently. It's a German book with a German title, so sorry for that. Daniel Glattauer, "Gut gegen Nordwind", which is a wonderful love story buildt up on the e-mailcorrespondance between two persons. It's the kind of book that you just have to keep on reading once you started it.

My favorite book is called The Shack! Best way to describe God and God's Love without any religious bias and verbage.

Oooh, my favorite book of all time is the classic The Catcher in The Rye. I read it in high school and it forever changed me.
My current favorite book is Love That Dog, a collection of notes written to a teacher by a student about poetry. The reader only sees the student's side of the conversation and it's fun to make up what could possibly have been told to him.
