Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

Charlotte's Web is a favorite of mine. I always read it to my first graders when I taught, and I can't wait for my son to be old enough to enjoy it too.

I’m not sure I could ever pick just ONE favorite book but I’m reading "Captivating" by John & Stasi Eldredge, its all about "unveiling the mystery of a woman's soul" and it’s absolutely amazing! I would recommend this book to every woman!

Easy: A Thousand Splendid Suns and Kite Runner. Both are about the horrors that took place in Afganastan in the early seventies, one from the prespective of a boy and one from a girl. Riviting and tough to read!

A book I enjoyed recently is "Proust was a Neuroscientist" by Jonah Lehrer -- an unlikely combination of art, science, and biography that was very interesting.

I just finished reading "Budda" by Deepak Chopra. I don't subscribe to any particular religion, but I found the book fascinating, and the story has relevance to modern day life: be true to yourself, hurt no one, and strive to be the best person you can. Lessons anyone can take to heart.

I just finished The Friday Night Knitting Club and Knit Two...loved 'em. I am currently reading Change of Heart by Jodi Piccoult and on my creative side thumbing through Stitched in Time by Alicia Paulson.

I have really been gripped by Francine Rivers' novel, Redeeming Love (so much so, that I had to reread a huge portion of the novel again last night...). It's such a wonderful story of redemption and how much God loves and pursues each one of us.

Two of my all time favorites are Time Traveler's Wife and My Antonia by Willa Cather. I just recently finished What Remains - about the death of JFK Jr. and Caroline. It was very sad but quite worthwhile.

Thanks for another great chance to win!
I have so many favourite books it is hard to pick just one... Recent ones include The Time Traveller's Wife, Crow Lake, The Friday Night Knitting Club. I studied children's literature at university, so my heart lies with the entire Anne of Green Gables series, the Harry Potter series and A Book Dragon, all of which I have read several times.

Hi Ali,
It's really hard to choose, but I would have to say "Prince of Tides" by Pat Conroy. His "Beach Music" is also on my list. Conroy is an amazing author, well worth reading and enjoying. (I also LOVED The Time Traveler's Wife and "Love Walked In" for more recent reads.)
Loved your post yesterday and the link to Simple Mom. What great ideas. Thanks for turning us on to other great blogs. Yours is still at the top of my Bookmarks list though!! You are awesome.
