Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

It's tough to narrow it down to one. So tough. But probably my fav is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I read it when I feel really lost and my world doesn't make sense. Somehow, when I get to the last page, I have a new found of direction. (Such great stuff this time. Thank you for hosting these!)

My all time favorite book is "A Tear of Love" by Alene Roberts. She is an old-fashioned, realistic writer. I love all of her books.

One of my favorite books is Backstairs at the White House---I enjoy the historical/political type of book. But, I also have a "fluffy" side that loves to read romance novels by Rachel Gibson and Susan Elizabeth Phillips...heck, I'll read about anything-but if I have a choice, it will either be historical non-fiction or a trashy romance!

Right now, my favorite books are the pigeon books (The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog!, Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!, Don't Let the Pigeon Stay Up Late!) by Mo Willems. My daughter and I get very excited and scream, "No!" when the pigeon asks to drive or stay up late. They are so much fun! And they inspire my 6 y.o. daughter to read!

For non-fiction I recommend Momma Zen by Karen Maezen Miller. It's wonderful for both new and experienced mothers. It's one of my favorites.
For fiction Life of Pi by Yann Martel. What a story.

Ali, My favorite book is one our teacher read to us in grade school - Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. I was mesmerized as a child thinking about this possible land beyond the wardrobe. This is my all time favorite book, however I love to read and a few other faves would be Winnie the Pooh, To Kill A Mockingbird and Shel Silverstein's Where the Sidewalk Ends. Thanks for always inspiring us :)

I absolutely loved Ken Folletts 'World without End' but Ali I think I remember reading you've read that. Another I've just finished was 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' by Khaled Hosseini (same chap that wrote The Kite Runner) - awesome and such easy reading - loved it!

Things I Want My Daughter To Know by Elizabeth Noble. Food for thought for this first time Mum of a little girl. Also spurs me on to document my life.

I don't read books very much unless they are idea books and magazines. Right now I'm enjoying my new CK magazine and the new Studios magazine. I use to read alot, but you have to be too quiet to do that...and I love to talk and visit with my hubby while I look at magazines or craft.
