Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

I recently read The No-Cry Sleep Solution by Elizabeth Pantley and would highly recommend it for anyone with a baby.

To Kill a Mockingbird is my favorite classic... and I'm enjoying Annie Leibovitz at Work right now. Cool to read about what goes on behind the scenes of her shoots.

i LOVE The read. but recently, i have not had the time :( i love cheesy murder mysteries that are just so easy to read and get lost into, forget about everything else for a bit ;) Dan Brown's "The DaVinci Code" is one of my favorites. And, as a preschool teacher and mom, i have a lot of favorite kids books. Right now we're very into "The Very Hungry Caterpillar"- and we're watching our own caterpillars grow and turn into butterflies!
sorry, that was a long ramble
have a great wednesday!

Besides the Bible....I would go with anything by Nicholas Sparks. He has got to be the most romantic author and looks good too.

I loved the Glass Castle. What an inspiring story of overcoming less than ideal circumstances! I remember her story when I look into the faces of my students and tell them, "you can do it!"

My favorite book is Speak. It's a young adult novel about a girl who goes through a traumatic experience and then stops speaking. She says very little to those around her, but the novel is told through a rich inner monologue. Great book, even for adults -- I just read it this fall and was sucked into the story quickly.

I haven't had a lot of time to read but I downloaded the Women's Murder Club series audio books. I listen to them when I go out for my walks. I enjoy listening to them and it makes my walks go much faster!

I too am a huge Jane Austen fan. Keeping with the Jane Austen theme, I just finished "Austenland" by Shannon Hale and absolutely loved it!

Right now, I'm reading "The 19th Wife" by David Ebershoff. It's intriguing and it's a fictional tale of polygamy in America with a murder mystery and it's really witty at the same time.
I don't really have a favorite..I love almost everything I read..

My all time favourite book has to be "Black Beauty" by Anna Sewell. I received this as a Christmas present when I was 10 years of age and read and re-read it over and over again. I read it to my own children and now their children have found delight within its pages. A timeless classic.

The "Out of Sync Child" was fantastic and I recommend all of the books written by the author--especially the one written for teachers. We bought a paperback copy of that one and gave it to my son's teacher every new school year. Every teacher loved it and thought it was the best resource ever for helping to understand and help kids with sensory disorders. Well worth the money!
