Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

Oh I'm reading a good one right now..."American Wife" by Curtis Sittenfeld. I'm only about 1/2 way thru but the characters are very rich. The book is a work of fiction but it is based loosley on the life of an American First Lady.

I just finished The Red Scarf by Kate Furnival and I thought it was great. She has also written The Russuan Concubine which I have just requested at my public library. And because I just can't resist a great children's book here's another recommendation : Little Hoot and also Little Pea both by Amy Krouse Rosenthal. So sweet. Thanks for the great giveaway.

My favorite book ever is "Anne of Green Gables", I read it at least once a year, I know it is a children's book, but I just love it. The rest of the series is great too. So beautifully written and descriptive, and oh I wanted to be Anne's bosom friend when I was young!
Thanks for another chance to win such great giveaways!

My all time favorite book is one I read my sophomore year of high school. Never before, or after, have I ever been so consumed by a book. It was horribly real, raw, and painful, and was unlike anything else I'd ever encountered in my life.
The book is "I Know This Much Is True" by Wally Lamb, about a twin struggling with his current existence, and it delves into the past, handling a rough childhood, and his twin's schizophrenia. Seriously, best book I've ever read. It gives me goosebumps just thinking about it, even 9 years later.

Impossible to pick just one...but I loved the Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson (I listened to it on tape, but read the book chapter by chapter as I listened to it); also The Third Angel by Alice Hoffman, and Middlesex by Eugenides. And always Jane Austen, all the time. I read constantly!

I realize these may not be mature and serious, but if you haven't read the Harry Potter series or the Twilight series you should try them! Both just allow you to get sucked in and enjoy yourself.
