Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

What amazing giveaways! My favourite book of all time is most likely Wuthering Heights which I first read as a 17 year old at school. I love the relationship between Cathy and Heathcliff and moreso that the story almost repeats itself with the next generation, but with a much happier ending! No film adaptation has ever lived up to the intense feelings Emily Bronte created in her book. My other recommended read is a Christmas one - the Christmas Mystery by Jostein Gaarder - it's a tale of an advent calender which charts a mysterious journey back through history to the birth of Jesus. It's completely magical and in the style of an advent calender with a chapter for everyday - I cannot wait until my boys are old enough to read it with me! You absolutely have to get it if you don't already have it!

My favorite book of all time is a book called Mystery on the Isle of Sky by Phyllis Whitney. I was probably 10 the first time that I read this book and it has instilled in me a love for my Scots heritage...to this day. Of course, my greatest dream is to go to Scotland...mmmm

I would recommend any and all of the books in Jan Karon's Mitford series. I have read all of the Mitford books multiple times. Great stories, easy reads.

Okay it's a cookbook but it has been such a lifesaver for me as I admit that I don't really have a routine or plan ahead so dinner time can really catch me off guard. It's called Desperation Dinners and it's a book full of recipes that can be done in 30 minutes. Just my style.

Last month I read the Twilight series and thought they were all excellent. Right now I am reading The Shack. I know it is good, but so far it is very sad.
