Ahhhh...summer! I am already dreaming of sitting on the back porch lounging with a really good summer read and a glass of iced tea. We are also planning a summer vacation road trip up the California Coast, can't wait for that.

I love our more relaxed schedule in the summer. Evenings are so great - we usually grill something and hang out with the kids until dark or have a picnic lunch by the lake.

It's hard to have just one favorite of summer - while I have always said Fall is my fave of seasons, there are some wonderful things I look forward to at this time of year...long evening walks with the hubs, smelling air filled with wonderful scent form the lilac bushes in the neighborhood lawns, getting my hands in the dirt (which is odd since I was the LAST person to ever do anything related to dirt growing up), watching my flowers bloom and my veggies produce the best tasting tomatoes on the planet, and summer drives that start out in a 'let's just point the car in this direction and see what we find'. Summer just seems to increase the volume of the sounds and smells that make you step back and appreicate time a little more.

My favorite thing about the summer is watching my little playing outside and rediscovering toys that were put away for chillier months. This summer I'm also looking forward to T-ball...what fun!

my favorite thing about the summer months is the time is the time i get to spend with my kids. we have fun everyday. its so carefree and just relaxing to know we can play all day and not worry about having to get up early for school.

Playing with my daughter outside! Our winter is long in the Pacific Northwest, so once it is at least 50 we are outside all day long! My daughter is so much happier outside and that makes me a much happier mommy!

My favorite thing about summer is the "lazy days around the pool" on Saturdays! YAY!

Oooohh!! Not sure how i'd choose between the two kits! Both so cute. As for the summer months, what don't I love? I feel like a new, rejuvenated person. Love playing outside with my son, longer days, sleeping with the windows open. Love it, love it, love it! Yay, summer!

I love the long summer days that run into summer nights...spending time with family outside, hiking at the park, swimming in the lake, then campfires in the backyard, and finally hanging out in the hammock after the kids are asleep! :)
